DISRUPT Utah (DU) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to engage with youth in state's custody, to disrupt generational trauma, strengthen cross-cultural awareness, exercise emotional resilience, and actively commit to inclusivity and belonging... DU is excited to work with community partners to address the unmet needs of youth in states custody. Below are the services we offer to help foster emotional resilience, and to disrupt the youth recidivism rates here in Utah... At DISRUPT Utah, we disagree with the term "at-risk youth" because we recognize that they are impacted by systems of inequity and a lack of resources. We aim to shift the mindset of putting the blame on youth, and instead opt to help them thrive.
