Her work weaves scenography, moving images, sound and performance with analogue traditional media. Fueled by situations with strange trebles, she blends various artistic techniques into symbolically charged scenic and sonic narratives. The tension between documentary and dream is recurrent. So are rhythms in nature, adamant human rituals and the lack of them. Alongside her studio practice, Elina is continuously engaged in international music, film and stage productions focusing on directing, scenography and sound design. She is currently based between the Åland Islands, Stockholm and Vienna.
