Meet Dr. Hubert Fenton, an accomplished physician with a specialization in anatomic and clinical pathology. With 16 years of experience in both private practice and academic settings, Dr. Fenton has established himself as a highly-skilled pathologist and a dedicated educator. Dr. Fenton pursued his academic journey by completing a Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he laid the foundation for his future medical career. Following his medical degree, Dr. Fenton embarked on rigorous training in anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP) at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital. He further honed his expertise through a surgical pathology fellowship at the same renowned institution. Driven by his passion for gastrointestinal (GI) and hepatic pathology, he pursued a second fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Linda Farrell at the University of California San Francisco. Throughout his career, Dr. Fenton has held prominent positions within the academic field. As an Associate Professor and Director of the Surgical Fellowship program at The University of Colorado, he played a pivotal role in shaping the education and training of aspiring pathologists. Additionally, he served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, contributing his expertise to furthering medical education. In addition to their technical expertise, Hannah's extensive experience in managerial roles has given her a unique skill set for overseeing laboratory operations. Hannah facilitates a leadership role in overseeing the overall operations at Exova Diagnostics. Hannah is ASCP certified in Histotechnology and has a proven track record of passing multiple CAP inspections with zero deficiencies and zero recommendations. They have conceptualized and developed a histology training program for the Medstar Health Network, overseeing its implementation and pilot program by collaborating with hospital administration, multi-hospital leadership, and union leaders. Hannah is Lean-Six Sigma focused, always seeking out new ways to streamline processes and improve quality management systems.
