Ben Eberly

Attorney Ben Eberly is a native to the Miami Valley having lived in Troy, Piqua and Tipp City. He graduated from Tippecanoe High School and then attended Miami University for undergraduate studies. Upon graduation from Miami University, his education continued at the University of Dayton School of Law where he earned the prestigious CALI award in the area of Civil Trial Practice. After law school, Attorney Eberly relocated to Pennsylvania to begin his practice of law. While in Pennsylvania, Attorney Eberly honed his legal skills focusing on areas of Civil Litigation including personal injury, Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability Claims. In 2007, Attorney Eberly joined the law firm of Edgar Snyder and Associates where he served as the firm's attorney for Workers' Compensation and Social Security for northwestern Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania, Attorney Eberly helped hundreds of people with injury claims, Workers' Compensation claims and Social Security Disability claims. He was three times named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star and was named an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2013. Attorney Eberly has now returned "home" to the Miami Valley and is a founding partner of Klein, Tomb and Eberly (2010-2018) and Waite, Tomb and Eberly (2018-present). Eberly has now been named an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star and will continue to focus on Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Workers'Compensation and Social Security Disability Claims. He has recovered millions of dollars for his clients over his 20 plus years of practice. Ben is also an active member of the community serving as a member of both the Tipp Monroe Optimist Club and the Tipp City Rotary Club. He also sits on the Miami County Bar Association's Ethics and Grievance Committee and has served as Treasurer, Vice President and President (2017).

Patrick "PJ" Janis

Patrick "PJ" Janis brings with him 40 years of experience to his "Of Counsel" role with Waite, Tomb & Eberly. PJ was born and raised in Northeastern Ohio and after graduating from high school attended Wittenberg University obtaining a double degree in Political Science and Accounting. He obtained his J.D. at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team. After law school, PJ moved to the Miami Valley where he started, and has continued to add, to his extensive experience as a trial attorney.

Sabra Tomb

Sabra Tomb is the Director of Training Programs and Strategic Business Development for the University of Dayton School of Law (UDSL). In this role, Sabra provides management of growth opportunities in non-J.D. education and training programs. She also oversees the Government Contracting & Procurement Master's Degree Program and is primarily responsible for developing and implementing a plan to establish significant revenue generating Law School programs and other projects. Prior to her current role with UDSL, Sabra was an attorney-advisor for Headquarters Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As an attorney for AFRL, Sabra provided legal support to AFRL's $6 billion science, technology, research and development enterprise, including the laboratory's nine component technology directorates and the 711th Human Performance Wing. As an attorney for AFRL, Sabra advised management on labor and employment matters, and provided legal coordination between AFRL, 88 ABW/JA and Employee Management Relations (EMR) on high-visibility, sensitive, senior personnel matters. Sabra has experience with mediations involving the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and arbitration experience involving the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE). Sabra also advised on internal investigations and provided legal advice to appointed investigating officers, fact-finders, and AFRL leadership on sensitive personnel investigations, Commander Directed Investigations, Management Inquiries, Inspector General (IG) complaints, and employee appraisal reconsiderations. Sabra was a designated ethics counselor, providing dozens of opinions to AFRL leadership, functional staff, and supervisors and scientists and engineers. Prior to becoming an attorney, Sabra was a Technology Transfer Specialist in the AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing's Office of Research and Technology Applications. Sabra's first career was in the fitness and natural health industries and during that time she owned a natural health store for seven years. Sabra is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and the State of Ohio. Sabra is a 2022 graduate and fellow of Leadership Ohio, a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Miami County Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio Women's Bar Association. Tomb is the current President of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Steve Klein

, Of Counsel, has practiced in Montgomery County, Miami County and southwest Ohio for nearly 50 years. Attorney Klein was a founding member of Klein, Tomb and Eberly (2010-2018) and remains with the firm in an "Of Counsel" capacity. Attorney Klein's experience has encompassed a wide range of legal issues including contracts, collections, property law, business formation and municipal law. He has previously served as the law director for the City of Piqua for more than two decades. Attorney Klein has also been the Assistant Prosecutor for Lucas County and Knox County. Attorney Klein is admitted to practice in all state and Federal courts in Ohio. He is currently a member of the Miami County Bar Association, as well as the Ohio State Bar Association. He was honorably discharged from the United State Army after serving his country in Vietnam.
