FOCUS CANCER CARE

FOCUS is an evidence-based program of care that provides education and support to people with cancer and their caregivers. A trained health professional delivers the program to participants in five consecutive small group sessions. This program is designed to be delivered as described herein to achieve successful outcomes. One of the most important and unique features of FOCUS is that patients and their family caregiver participate in the program together. This dyadic program of care helps both patients and their caregivers learn about the illness, find new ways to cope with it, and enhance their ability to support one another.
