The Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) in Egypt is a governmental agency subordinate to the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities of Egypt. HBRC plays a leading role in enhancing the performance of the building sector through scientific research and application, codes development and enforcement. It is also responsible for technical studies and testing related to the Egyptian building laws and regulations. Supervision of implementations, Third party duties and Quality assurance services for reviewing engineering designs and projects documentations is also included in the scope of interest. Fire laboratory follows to HBRC, is accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) of Testing Authorities, USA. Duties of Fire Lab include aiding of the efforts of scientific staff for efficient performance under supervision of Prof. Sayed Shebl Mohamed for different activities as lab Testing, Assessment, Technical Consultation and Third Party Quality..
