HIAN HIAN SEE

I am a senior research scientist at SGInnovate, where I develop technologies and applications for intelligent robot systems, using tools like machine learning, control and automation, computer vision and tactile perception. I received my B.Eng (Hons) and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore... My current work focuses on enabling robots with the sense of touch via a synergistic combination of tactile sensing, computer vision and machine learning for intelligent robot manipulation. My work has been recognised with a best paper award at IROS' 21 and the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award 2020.
