Lastly, we needed to see how it held up in the kitchen. Jeff and Allison tested the oil with several different cooking methods to see how it would perform. It held up to most cooking methods and was later tested at the Culinary Institute of America of America in Hyde Park to have a smoke point of 387 degrees. Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils was established in 2014 and its first bottle of oil was launched in the fall of 2015 Kevin & Traci started drumming up business in New York while Allison managed the company from Virginia, also selling to the DC metro area.
