We are aware that the Indeck Power Plant has been putting off an unwelcome vibration and noise that is causing disruptions to the daily lives of residents in the nearby area. We sincerely apologize for this and want to assure the Niles community that we are committed to solving this problem as soon as possible... The Indeck Niles plant uses the newest, and most advanced turbine technology, which requires regular maintenance performed by our sub-contractors. A short time ago, after a brief shutdown, we began to experience the current noise/vibrations and believe this is isolated to one of the two turbines. From the moment the issue was first discovered, we have been working closely with our sub-contractors, who have been on site for several days, to identify the issue and its solution.
