INDICES OF DEPRIVATION

This site has been developed and is maintained by Oxford Consultants for Social Inclusion (OCSI). OCSI is a spin-out research consultancy from the Social Disadvantage Centre at the University of Oxford. Since launching in 2003, we have worked with over 180 organisations at local, regional and national level as well as internationally to improve the evidence base for making decisions... We have been commissioned by the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to update the Indices of Deprivation, crucial datasets in guiding the allocation of resources. Alongside our work in updating the Indices, we are interested in how different organisations are using the Indices of Deprivation in their work... We are publishing case studies, findings and data visualisations on this Indices of Deprivation resource site - welcome!
