One of the most difficult tasks in fracture reduction and stabilization is achieving a correct alignment of the bone segment. This objective should be achieved without disrupting the blood supply to the bone, in order to have an active biological response. The techniques for Intraoperative Skeletal Traction (IST) facilitate the surgeon in achieving the objective in a consistent and predictable way.
