Jantz Analytics was formed specifically to develop a software platform that possesses the unique tools to adequately measure real estate investment trust ("REIT") portfolio risk, especially "fat tail" risk factors. When every real estate asset class is performing smoothly, just as a glossy real estate investment sales brochure predicted, that environment creates a "herd mentality" or a less-than-rigorous approach to real estate investing. However, after the sobering economic effects of Covid-19, perceived and non-perceived risk is now much different. As such, investing in REITs without adequate portfolio risk analysis to adequately measure overall risk is, at best, imprudent...
