My practice mixes socio-political engagement and personal exploration, delving into the complexities of identity, individual and collective memory. I draw inspiration from my lived experience, as well as from broader cultural and historical contexts... Through a diverse range of mediums including sculpture, painting, printmaking, audio-visual work, and installation, I want to make multi-dimensional work which is unashamedly sentimental and provokes reflection... Mixed media artist from Hackney, London. My practice is both sociopolitically engaged and deeply rooted in my personal experiences of class, identity and collective memory. Encompassing sculpture, painting, printmaking, audio-visual and performative elements my work makes use of archival research, found images and cheap everyday materials that are at hand.
