While my work has focused on researching user behaviors to learn more about their thoughts, feedback, and interaction, I see the roles of research, design, and strategy as completely intertwined - when done with lean methods and an eye towards continuous feedback loops. My introduction to design thinking came as an elementary teacher with a classroom as an incubator for empathizing, ideating, prototyping, and testing on repeat. Upon moving into the museum world, research became an essential component of developing and managing programs and digital products, and I leaned into harnessing formal and informal methods and techniques to listen and learn from our audiences - and include them every step of the process.
