When my family relocated from Finland to Germany in 2017 because of my husband's work, I had been working in the field of arts and journalism for over 15 years. I had experienced many sorts of roles, from running a classical music festival or producing opera pieces to working as a music journalist and a producer of radio and webcast shows for my latest employer of many years, the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle. I even had a side hustle as a classical singer. One could say I experienced almost every side of putting creative projects of every size into practice. I knew the ins and outs of the Finnish culture landscape and quite a percentage of the people in it as well - Finland is anyway quite a small country... When moving to Germany, I took a lot of experiences with me, but something was also left behind. In a new country, I realized: nobody knows your name.
