Jeffrey L. Rhodes

Jeffrey Rhodes is an accomplished civil litigator, and a leading business and employment lawyer. In his over 22 years of practice, Mr. Rhodes has litigated in courts around the country. Admitted in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., he advises companies and executives, representing them in the structuring, drafting, and defending of their corporate transactions and employment practices to help accomplish their business goals. Jeffrey has received the highest AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability. Mr. Rhodes is also recognized as one of the top employment lawyers in Northern Virginia. His practice focuses on employment disputes in the areas of non-competes, compensation, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, whistleblower, severance, and benefits issues. He also represents federal employees in Equal Employment Opportunity, retaliation, and whistleblower claims. A consummate litigator, Mr. Rhodes has litigated jury and bench trials throughout his career. While most of his work has been on the defense side, where he has effectively defended multi-million-dollar claims, he also has obtained a multi-million-dollar verdict on the plaintiff side and fights for clients on both sides of the aisle. Mr. Rhodes has litigated civil cases in the state and federal courts in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. In arguing before the federal Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, Mr. Rhodes had the privilege of presenting argument to Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, sitting by designation. Kevin D. McInroy

Kevin McInroy is a partner in the law firm of McInroy, Rigby & Rhodes, L.L.P. He has over thirty (30) years of experience in the private practice of law, representing companies and individuals on a broad spectrum of real estate and business matters, including both transactions and litigation in federal and state courts in Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. McInroy's practice focuses primarily on real estate, business law, contracts, creditor's rights, commercial transactions, and employment law. He serves as general counsel for local businesses, and in that capacity handles and supervises all of their legal needs, including the preparation, negotiation, and enforcement of their contracts, commercial loans, commercial leases, real estate sales, purchases, and refinancings, employment contracts, termination and severance agreements, and the preparation and revision of their corporate, LLC, partnership, and other organizational documents. Mr. McInroy regularly appears in state and federal courts in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia in connection with civil litigation pertaining to real estate, commercial, and business transactions. He has successfully handled appeals before the Virginia Supreme Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia Circuit, the Fourth Circuit, and the Sixth Circuit. Mr. McInroy has testified as an expert witness in legal malpractice cases, and has lectured on various real estate and business law topics, and litigation techniques, for bar organizations and continuing legal education programs. He grew up in Livingston, New Jersey, received his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College, studied at the University of Surrey in Guildford, England, and received his law degree from George Washington University. Mr. McInroy is admitted to practice law in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in the following federal courts: U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia and for the District of Columbia; U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the or the Eastern District of Virginia and for the District of Columbia; U.S. Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the Fourth Circuit, and the Sixth Circuit. Mr. McInroy is an Emeritus member of the George Mason American Inn of Court; he was a Master of the Inn from 2003 to 2015, and served on its Executive Committee from 2007 to 2014. Mr. McInroy is also is a member of the Real Property, Litigation, and Business Law Sections of the Virginia State Bar; the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association; the Fairfax County Bar Association (past Chairman of the Real Estate Section); the Arlington County Bar Association; and the John M. Braswell Real Estate Committee of the Alexandria Bar Association.

Mr. John J. Rigby

Mr. John J. Rigby concentrates his practice in the area of employment law and regulatory law. He is considered a prominent employment lawyer. Mr. Rigby has represented many federal employees, both before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). He has won precedent setting cases establishing important federal employee rights. Mr. Rigby regularly represents employees in overtime cases under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and has also represented many employers. He has developed particular expertise concerning the FLSA. Mr. Rigby has handled a variety of other employment law matters, including non-compete cases and employee severance agreements. He has also developed expertise concerning recovery of attorney's fees under fee shifting statutes. Mr. Rigby has taught many continuing legal education courses on employment law matters.
