Tim Jarvis comes to the team with over 30 years Information Technology experience. He originally studied electronic engineering in the Royal Australian Navy but moved into Software engineering after leaving the Navy in the mid 1980's Tim has deep technical expertise in multiple computer languages and disciplines having worked for Borland Software as a leading developer of Compilers for 10 years and for more than 4 years at a leading Database tools manufacturer, Quest Software. During his time at Borland Software, Tim was a regular speaker at industry conventions in Australia, the US and the UK, as well as a regular contributor to industry magazines and whitepapers. Tim has spent the last 15 years leading teams and designing systems and remains very hands on. He likes nothing more than being elbows deep in the codebase alongside his team, however his extensive experience coupled with his passion for staying current and keeping up with best practices (especially in the cloud computing space) makes him a very effective member of the team.
