Chris Mills is the Head of Product at Nexleaf Analytics. He provides support and leadership for the product and engineering teams both build the right products, and build the products right. Chris believes good products are built collaboratively with the people who will be using them, and that data has the power to enable better decisions at any scale.
Prior to joining Nexleaf, Chris was the VP of Product for ProdPerfect, helping software teams test their applications with product usage data, and the Director of Solutions for Rigado, building commercial IoT solutions using bluetooth.
Chris has a BS in Engineering from MIT. He's passionate about working at the intersection of hardware and software to power better healthcare outcomes.

Eric is the Data Analyst for Nexleaf's Clean Cooking and Medical Equipment Programs. In those roles, he organizes and analyzes disparate datasets to help teams make decisions about how best to evaluate, improve, and scale these programs.
Eric's background is in political sociology. Prior to joining Nexleaf, he completed a BA at the University of Missouri, an MA at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and a PhD at Indiana University. His dissertation, Evangelical Religiopolitical Identity, Ideological Realignment, and Social Welfare Attitudes in the Age of the Religious Right, used American National Election Studies data from 1960-2016 to explore the political impact of evangelical Protestant movement into the Republican Party beginning in the 1960s. His academic research program is methodologically agnostic and spans a number of different sub-disciplines (including politics, religion, law, social policy, education, and group conflict), but the central thread drawing them together is an emphasis on the structures and ideologies maintaining social inequality in the United States.

Hannah is the Senior Program Manager, Vaccines. Hannah is motivated by Nexleaf's focus on partnering with local stakeholders to generate user-centered data and solutions.
She has an MPH in Global Health from Boston University and served as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Senegal. Prior to joining Nexleaf, she managed social and behavior change programs on a wide range of health areas in Francophone West Africa for the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs. Hannah is passionate about using technology and human-centered design approaches with communities to achieve their goals.

Hosea Michael is a Project and Data Manager for Tanzania. He is coordinating management of a multi-state technology-based project in Tanzania; setting up a central service center to manage service support for our devices; handling escalated service issues; supply chain management & logistics; regular field travel to ensure quality of implementation; tracking project priorities and project planning metrics; forming and maintaining relationships with partners, contractors and sub-contractors. He is also responsible for organizing and attending meetings with partners to ensure data is being used for decision making and to attend conferences and workshops as needed in Tanzania and around the world.
Hosea holds MSc in Human Resource Management, BA with Education and an extensive experience working in rural and urban Tanzania on health and socioeconomic related programs in both research and pragmatic sciences. Over the past 8 years, Hosea has been exposed to different programs which include HIV, nutrition, vaccination, systems innovation, electronic systems development and implementation, training and capacity building, organizational development, private-public sector engagement (PPP), research, water, sanitation and hygiene and data use initiatives etc. This drives him to be a massive advocate for e-health improvement and development initiatives and programs as well as the use of electronically generated data to make an informed decision so as to improve immunization and overall health service across Africans and overseas.

Mariam is passionate and committed to improving the lives of vulnerable populations by implementing innovative solutions which build capacity in the communities, institutions and systems that serve them. For the past 6 years, Mariam has worked closely with the Ministry of Health in Tanzania in different capacities, through different NGOs that she has worked with, focusing on strengthening health systems and contributing to building more resilient health systems. Mariam has provided technical support to the Ministry of Health in the area of PMTCT, and served as an advisor in the area of Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health. Mariam has experience in undertaking a number of consultancies for local and International NGOs. These consultancies included baseline assessments,end of project evaluations as well as the development of different tools for Health Care Workers.
Mariam received her MPH (Distinction) with a focus on International/Global Health from the University of Nottingham. Prior to joining Nexleaf, Mariam worked as an advisor for GIZ, managing the RMNCAH component of the Health Programme implemented in Tanga and Mbeya.

Martin Lukac is a Founder and the Chief Technology Officer of Nexleaf Analytics. Martin holds a B.S. from Haverford College, and received his Ph.D. from UCLA for innovations in wireless seismic and acoustic sensing systems. He previously served as a Visiting Scientist at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). At Nexleaf, Martin leads all aspects of the technical design and architecture of Nexleaf's sensing systems and connected devices. He has personally deployed device prototypes across Southeast Asia, Africa, and beyond. His work has led to one patent and several more in the works.
Martin's technical designs and innovations for Nexleaf have been recognized by several award competitions and publications, including Financial Times and Devex. ColdTrace was named first place winner as a tech for social good by the Museum of Innovation at the Tech Awards in 2015 and by Vodafone Wireless Innovation Project in 2013. StoveTrace won the 2016 Harnessing Data for Resilience Recognition Award, offered by USAID and FHI360, and was a finalist in the 2017 Global Mobile Awards.
Martin's research experience includes building, deploying, maintaining, and evaluating embedded systems for seismic, structural, environmental, and public-health applications. As part of his graduate thesis work, he developed one of the first large scale wireless seismic networks and deployed and maintained the system in Peru and Mexico for over two years, spanning over 250 km. Over the course of his work at UCLA, he has worked closely with geophysicists, structural engineers, and ecologists. Martin has presented and published his work at numerous peer-reviewed conferences and journals in computer science and Earth science.

Megan supports the international field team and technology development at Nexleaf headquarters to bring StoveTrace technology to more households, and test new solutions to address health, affordability, and usability in the cookstoves sector.
Megan holds a M.S. degree in International Agricultural Development from U.C. Davis and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College. Prior to Nexleaf, Megan was a Project Director at the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute, overseeing programs in nutrition education and food policy equity for low-income and immigrant families in Los Angeles. She has also worked with NGOs serving rural women through microfinance and community development in Latin America and India.

Nithya Ramanathan is the CEO and Co-Founder of Nexleaf Analytics, a non-profit technology company that partners with countries to make sure they have the data they need to improve the health of people. Nexleaf's unique approach brings together sensor design, data analysis, software engineering, and field engagement to identify and address big problems. Nexleaf technology currently protects the vaccine supply for 1 in 10 babies born each year. Nithya and her team have achieved this outsized impact by working shoulder-to-shoulder with Ministries of Health - rather than attempting to bypass governments - to scale cutting-edge technologies refined through close collaboration with personnel at every level of the health system, from top-tier government officials to last-mile health care workers.
A computer scientist specializing in sensor technologies and data analytics, Nithya is a tech-for-good pioneer and a leading thinker on global vaccine distribution. Nithya's career started in Silicon Valley, and continued as Research Faculty in sensor technologies at UCLA. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley. Her work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Nithya is a TED Fellow, PopTech Social Innovation Fellow, Switzer Environmental Fellow, and a Rainer Arnhold Fellow. She is the winner of the 2017 Hedy Lamarr Award for Female Tech Pioneer, was named a Gavi Got Life! Champion in 2018 alongside world leaders, and received the Tällberg Foundation/Eliasson Global Leadership Award in 2020.

Patience Mfune is the Malawi Project Manager at Nexleaf. His role provides strategic guidance to Nexleaf's interventions in Malawi to engage the Ministry of Health and other vaccine partners to ensure that vaccines are safe to the last mile. He works in country with a global team to ensure that Malawi government has access to the data they need to effectively and equitably deliver potent vaccines to Malawians. Patience brings along to Nexleaf his long-term working relationship with the Government of Malawi and development stakeholders to make sure that discussions between policymakers, supply chain experts, and, health workers in Malawi are driven by data.
Prior to joining Nexleaf, Patience worked with both local and international health and communication organizations in Malawi in various capacities for over ten years. In these roles, Patience's track record in designing health and communication advocacy initiatives, demand generation, and health - social behavior change communication strategies and models contributed to the success of multi-billion dollar projects.
Patience has worked in projects that are funded by multi-national donor agencies like USAID, DFID, OSISA, KFW, UNESCO, Nike Foundation among others where he designed and implemented game-changing human-centered designs and demand generation strategies that provided a continuum in the project life span while saving lives. In these projects, Patience worked with M & E teams to create data for action strategies to achieve project indicators and maximize results.

Radhika Malpani is a Senior Director, Eng. at Google. Starting with leading the Ads team in 2000, Radhika went on to work on core websearch, and then founded and lead Google Images for several years. She then went on to build Google Travel Search to help users with their travel planning needs. An alumnus of University of California, Berkeley, Radhika has worked at Google since 2000 and before that at some of the leading technology firms like Hewlett Packard Labs and Siemens.
Radhika is very interested in technology and in the convergence of technology and social impact. She is particularly interested in girls education, rural development, global health and the environment. In addition to advising startups, and working with young non-profits like BetterworldEd, she is on the boards of Nexleaf, Educate!, and was a founding member of Progressive Women of Silicon Valley, an organization committed to promoting women in politics.

Tom is the Senior Data and Informatics Specialist in the Vaccine Program at Nexleaf. In that role, he is responsible for creating information visualizations to enable the Vaccine Program and in-country stakeholders gain insight to help governments plan their cold chain. He is excited to help build sustainable, in-country capacity by putting the power of data into the hands of front line public health workers.
Prior to joining Nexleaf, Tom spent over ten years at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in the Biological Sciences Group with a specific focus on virus genome sequencing work. There, he was proud to help lead the development of in-country workshops in conjunction with the NIH Fogarty International Center to teach local scientists to process and interpret DNA sequencing results themselves across 18 different countries, primarily in Asia and Africa.
Tom has a Masters of Science in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University and a BS from Duke University. He loves processing large datasets to find interesting stories to tell, as well as helping others explore complex data on their own.
