Cal has been part of the Castle project team since August 2013, initially developing the successful bid submissions to Heritage Lottery Fund. Cal's current key responsibilities are for interpretation development and archaeology, along with activity planning and consultation. She has over twenty-five years' experience working in audience development and engagement within a regeneration and heritage environment and is a trained project manager. Cal's previous roles include Heritage Lottery Programme Manager for a Landscape Partnership based at Creswell Crags Museum & Heritage Centre (2011 -2013), and Regional Audience Development Officer for the East Midlands as part of MLA's Renaissance Programme (2009-2011)

Faye manages the activity plan for the project, as well as leading on communications and project monitoring. Her background is in museums, having worked in collections and audience development roles in the past. Her previous role was as co-ordinator for the Arts Council England programme at Nottingham City Museums and Galleries.

Jade Everatt

Jade supports all project activity, assisting with events management, activity plan projects and office administration. Specialising in social media and communications, Jade also runs our social media accounts and writes regular articles for our newsletter.

Richard Hamblin

Job Titles:

Richard is Project Director for the Nottingham Castle Project. He joined the team in 2015 to help oversee the transition from development to reality. This role also dovetailed with his experience gained at Nottingham Contemporary where he was Operations and Finance Director for 5 years covering the Project Development phase as well as the first few years post opening. Prior to joining the Castle team Richard had undertaken a number of project and financial management roles within the East Midlands. He trained to be a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse Nottingham in the late 1980's and has since accumulated over thirty years of professional and practical experience that has focused on advising employers and clients on a spectrum of business issues. Having started his career at Price Waterhouse he has subsequently worked for East Midlands Electricity, Powergen, Pendragon PLC, Nottingham Contemporary and Confetti Media Group before joining Nottingham City Council. This has provided experience of a number of different organisational structures and cultures covering utility, retail, charity, education and the public sector.
