OTU UMUNNE CULTURAL ORGANIZATION

The inaugural meeting of Otu Umunne Cultural Organization, Inc., Georgia, was held on December 12, 1986, at the home of Dr. Christian Mbamalu and Mrs. Chiebonam "Chi" Ezekwueche in Macon, Georgia... As the oldest Nigerian women's service organization in the Americas, we thank God for using Otu Umunne Cultural Organization, Inc. as a catalyst for the formation of numerous Igbo, Nigerian and some African organizations in the United States and beyond. The organization has fostered unity and understanding among children, young adults, women, families in various communities in the USA and Nigeria. We remain thankful for the strong network of Otu Umunne Alumni sons and daughters who are proud of their Igbo/Nigerian/American heritage... Otu Umunne has promoted Igbo/Nigerian arts and culture at countless events and festivals across the Southeastern United States
