Carren Yu Chi Wang

Originally from South Africa, Dr. Carren Yu Chi Wang joined PMA Health in 2013. Dr. Wang completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2003. After she pursued her medical education at Ohio State University College of Medicine, she completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the Washington Hospital Center. Finally, Dr. Wang finished a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 2013.

Christopher C. Wyckoff

Dr. Christopher Wyckoff joined PMA Health in 2008 and provides inpatient consultation. His clinical interests include the management of asthma, COPD, sarcoidosis, and lung cancer. Dr. Wyckoff graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rochester in 1997, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. He stayed to complete his medical education in 2001 and pursued his internal medicine internship and residency at Georgetown University in 2004. Finally, Dr. Wyckoff completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in 2008. During his fellowship, he received the Fellow of the Year Award 3 years in a row, for excellence in teaching residents. Dr. Wyckoff has a clinical faculty appointment at Georgetown University and serves as the Site Director for Internal Medicine Residents that rotate at the hospital. He is actively involved in teaching Internal Medicine Residents and has received the Clinical Faculty Teaching Award three years in a row.

David R. Duhamel

A native of Massachusetts, Dr. David Duhamel joined Pulmonary and Medical Associates of Northern Virginia in 1991. His clinical expertise includes Interventional Pulmonology, Pleural Diseases, and Lung Cancer.

Dr. Abby Evans

Dr. Abby Evans is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care. Dr. Evans was born and raised in Northern Virginia and attended McLean High School prior to moving west to complete her undergraduate degree in Food Science at Brigham Young University. She came back to the DC area for both medical school at Georgetown University and residency at INOVA Fairfax Family Practice where she was selected as a chief resident. As a physician, she enjoys getting to know and hear stories from the incredibly interesting people who live in this area. Dr. Evans is trained to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions as well as provide preventative health maintenance in line with the most recent screening guidelines. She believes in a wide scope of management by primary care providers and feels privileged to form relationships with patients over years of working together to improve or maintain their health.

Dr. Christopher Luk

Dr. Christopher Luk is a board certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care, seeing patients of a variety of ages from high school-aged children to elderly adults. He is trained to diagnose and manage a broad array of acute and chronic medical conditions following evidence-based practice. In addition, he focuses on disease prevention through health promotion and by performing health maintenance according to up to date screening guidelines. Dr. Luk is a native of Falls Church, Virginia. He completed his medical education at the University of Virginia and his family medicine residency at Palmetto Health-University of South Carolina.

Dr. Daniel Casey

A native of Washington, DC, Dr. Daniel Casey joined Pulmonary and Medical Associates of Northern Virginia in 2013. Dr. Casey completed his medical education at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2006. He then pursued an internship and residency program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital. Finally, he completed a Critical Care and Pulmonary Disease fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in 2013.

Dr. Neil Shea

Dr. Neil Shea joined PMA Health in 2017. His clinical interests include COPD, asthma, interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, and bronchoscopy. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Shea graduated cum laude from Boston College, with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. He completed his medical education at the University of Missouri - Columbia, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2011. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, both at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Ritu Cuttica is a board-certified physician specializing in Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her traditional rotating internship at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL, followed by the completion of her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH. Dr. Cuttica has a special interest in women's health, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. Jeff B. Hales

Dr. Jeff Hales joined PMA Health in 2003 and has special clinical interests in airway diseases such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and bronchiectasis. Dr. Hales' undergraduate studies were in engineering at Duke University in the field of Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. He attended the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he stayed to train in Internal Medicine and served as Chief Resident in Ambulatory Medicine at the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He then attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Hales has been involved in clinical research studies evaluating therapies for asthma and COPD and was a principal investigator in the AIR2 Trial 2005-2010 evaluating the effectiveness of Bronchial Thermoplasty as a treatment for asthma. He routinely evaluates patients with acute and chronic pulmonary symptoms, such as a cough, breathlessness, chest discomfort, and those with abnormal findings on imaging studies (CXR or Cat Scan of Chest) that reveal nodules, scarring, or concerns for Lung Cancer. Additionally, he currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at VHC Health.

Jennifer T. Neria

Jennifer T. Neria, MD, MPH, is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Georgetown University. She is a native of the Washington, DC area. After attending Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, she went on to complete her Bachelor's degree in English at the University of Virginia and a Master's degree in Public Health in International Health Promotion at George Washington University School of Public Health. She earned her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, and completed her training at the VCU-Fairfax Family Medicine Residency Program in Fairfax, Virginia, one of the oldest and highly regarded family medicine programs in the U.S. Dr. Neria was elected Academic Chief Resident in her last year of residency, and that same year was awarded "Resident Teacher of the Year" by her residency program and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM). Dr. Neria has also been recognized as one of the area's Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine. Dr. Neria now focuses on general adult medicine, preventive health, routine gynecological exams, general women's health issues, and travel medicine. She continues to have a special interest in in-office procedures, a service that she offers at our Falls Church location. While some patient conditions sometimes require a referral to a specialist for further evaluation and treatment, in many instances procedures can be performed in our office by Dr. Neria as part of the diagnosis and management of common adult problems.

Dr. Lawrence Stein enjoys baseball, history, traveling and spending time with his family. Biography A native New Yorker, Dr. Lawrence Stein joined PMA Health in 1991. Following the completion of a Bachelor of Science at Fordham University in 1981 where he graduated with Honors, Dr. Stein completed his medical education at the State University of New York. He then pursued an internship and residency in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and afterward completed fellowships in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Stein is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha, a Medical Honor Society. In addition, Dr. Stein is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Stein is the Director of the Virginia Hospital Sleep Lab. A native New Yorker, Dr. Lawrence Stein joined Pulmonary and Medical Associates of Northern Virginia in 1991.

Rebecca Spofford began her education at Virginia Tech, earning a B.S. in sports medicine. Rebecca continued her education at Marymount University, earning both nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees.
