…"One day while lifting a boat motor, I strained my lower back pretty badly. I went to the ER and was given pain medication, which didn't help... I was then seen by an orthopedist who also gave me pain meds, which still didn't help. Fortunately the orthopedist referred me to a chiropractor, which at the time I knew nothing about, but was willing to try anything... Dr. Karpf examined me and explained exactly what I had done to my spine; not only my lower back, he also identified my unresolved neck injury from a car accident several years prior. Back at the time of the accident, I had received the same "treatment" - pain meds, which again had done nothing to actually help my neck pain and headaches.
