Abby Doty

Abby Doty graduated from Hamline University in 2021 with a Bachelor's in English and Psychology. She has written and edited creative and literary work as well as academic pieces focused primarily on psychology and mental health. She is passionate about removing the stigma around mental health and recovery. In her free time, Abby loves reading, painting, and petting dogs.

Cam Moore

As a member of the Community Outreach team at Recovery Village Atlanta, Cam Moore is dedicated to helping clients, families, and organizations find quality treatment options. Before joining Advanced Recovery Systems in 2023, Cam discovered a profound sense of purpose in 2019 by dedicating himself to assisting individuals and families affected by substance abuse and mental health challenges, empowering them to find freedom and reclaim their lives. Cam's dedication to serving others extends as he is currently working towards becoming an addiction counselor through a well-known association. By pursuing this additional training, Cam aims to enhance his ability to assist and support the individuals he serves more effectively and ethically. This commitment reflects Cam's genuine desire to continuously improve and provide the best possible care to those struggling with substance abuse and mental health. Over the course of his professional journey in the field, he has held various roles in different treatment modalities keeping a strong clinical background. He is excited about the opportunity to assist individuals that face mental health and substance use difficulties in finding optimal treatment.

Danielle Boland

Danielle is licensed clinical social worker, currently living and practicing in central Connecticut. Danielle graduated from Columbia University in 2012 with a Masters of Social Work, and always had the goal of opening her own private practice. She specializes in women's issues, maternal health and postpartum mental health. Danielle is passionate about empowering people of all ages and hopes to use her writing skills to provide more resources for those looking to improve their mental health. In her spare time, Danielle likes to practice yoga, read and be outdoors with her family.

David White

As a member of the Community Outreach team at Recovery Village Atlanta, David White is dedicated to helping clients, families, and organizations find quality treatment options. Before joining Advanced Recovery Systems in 2022, David spent the past six years working in the behavioral health field. David has spent time working with clients on an individual and group basis while he pursued his associates in Social work and a Bachelors in Business Management. He is a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist and a person in long term recovery. He is excited for the opportunity to help others in his community.

Dr. Jenni Jacobsen

Dr. Jenni Jacobsen is a licensed social worker through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She has over seven years working in the social work field, working with clients with addiction-related and mental health diagnoses. She is also a school social worker licensed by the Ohio Department of Education. Jenni has a PhD in Psychology from Northcentral University and a master's in Social Work from Ohio State University. She has worked as a freelance writer for over a decade, writing content related to addiction, mental health, fitness, and general health and wellness.

Dr. Jessica Pyhtila

Dr. Jessica Pyhtila is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist based in Baltimore, Maryland with practice sites in inpatient palliative care and outpatient primary care at the Department of Veteran Affairs. She is a double board-certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) and a Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS). She completed both a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency. Her writing and editing focuses on interdisciplinary continuing education presentations and medical content in pharmacology, addiction, psychology and public health.

Estella Matheu

Estella Matheu brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare and behavioral health industries to her role as Executive Director of The Recovery Village Atlanta, including the successful launch of facilities and specialist health and wellness programs. In addition to her executive duties, Estella dedicates time to creating meaningful and positive relationships with patients, team members and leaders to ensure each patient receives compassionate, high-quality care.

Hannah Clark

Hannah studied Psychology and Marketing, receiving a bachelor's degree from a well-known University. Before joining Advanced Recovery Systems in 2023, Hannah Clark began her work in the mental health and substance abuse field in 2017. Hannah has worked in direct patient care in a residential facility, continuing to become an Admissions Counselor, Case Manager, and Inpatient Care Coordinator, doing social work and expanding her clinical knowledge. This field is Hannah's passion and is very close to her heart. She is excited for the opportunity to grow in her career with The Recovery Village and step into the field, helping connect individuals and their loved ones to genuine care and resources.

Jennifer Hooper

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Jennifer began her journey to help others as an empathetic and results driven therapist in her home state of Indiana. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed the direct care role and also found so many other ways to impact change. This created a trajectory in her career from clinician to executive management, allowing her to grow as a supervisor, consultant, developer, and trainer. Jennifer's passion is always to think as a clinician first, caring about how to best empower the client. She balances this with strong ethics, leadership, and fiscal responsibility. Jennifer strives to help create streamlined systems and programs that facilitate growth for patients and employees. She believes in teamwork, and she sets high standards for successful outcomes. At the core of all she does, her values of honesty, integrity, and transparency shine through which she utilizes to create a culture of trust and positivity that fosters a learning and healing, no matter the environment. In her time off, you will find Jennifer at the ballfield, traveling, on the water or simply connecting with loved ones over weekly family dinners.

Sean Owen

As a member of the Community Outreach team at The Recovery Village Atlanta, Sean Owen is dedicated to helping clients, families, and organizations find quality treatment options. Before joining Advanced Recovery Systems in 2022, Sean found a love for working with those struggling with mental health and addiction in 2015. He started as a tech at a well known behavioral health hospital. At this facility he learned about quality client care, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, group facilitation and the most important skill, building a therapeutic relationship with clients. In 2015 he started to further his education by attending classes to become a certified addiction counselor. While working towards this goal he was granted a great opportunity to become a counselor in training. After obtaining his CAC1 certificate he went on to become a Certified Experiential Specialist, a Certified Anger Resolution Specialist, and a Yoga and Meditation teacher. He has continued to advance in this field working as a clinical assistant, recovery coach, admissions coordinator, safety officer, outreach coordinator, business development representative, and team lead at a PHP/IOP start up. Sean has worked in many different roles helping him to fully understand the entire process which uniquely qualifies him to help the client and their families feel extremely comfortable during this difficult transition from active addiction to finding recovery. He is excited for the opportunity to help those struggling from mental health and addiction issues find excellent treatment.
