Aaron is a Junior Mechanical Engineering student minoring in Aerospace Engineering at Santa Clara University. He has internship experience working with x-ray machinery and fluid cooling systems. He was also the Engineering Project Lead and is now the President of the Santa Clara University chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
Dev is a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, studying Electrical Engineering. He has interests in Battery Management, Embedded Systems, Cloud Computing, and Power Electronics. Dev has multiple certifications in the AWS Cloud and participates in his school's EV Concept team as part of the Shell Eco-Marathon.
Dr. Surinder Singh has a distinguished career focused on advancing and incubating technologies that address climate emergencies with a focus on the fundamentals of science, systems engineering, and business models. He is a seasoned executive who has authored and co-authored 11 publications and more than 50 patents granted and pending in ClimateTech. He has been featured in Business Insider (Electric vehicle battery executives poised to win the booming business), Fortune (Unstoppable Worlds Business Minds), and Microgrid Knowledge (Are Second Life EV Batteries Game Changers for Microgrid Owners and the Grid?). He previously led Energy Management at NICE America Research, an incubator for China Energy (CE- the worlds largest power producer),and a program leader at GE. Dr. Singh mentors startups in Climate and Energy at Breakthrough Energy, Third Derivative/New Energy Nexus, On Deck, and STEP-TIET Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals.
Operations Executive with over 25 years of Industry experience in Automotive and Energy Storage with deep knowledge in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Automation, Facilities, IT, HR, Outsourcing, M&A. Thought leader and team builder who builds loyalty with customers, investors and employees.
Ivan is a Senior finance professional with more than 20 years experience in executive level management in various technology industries, including Enterprise Software, Renewable Energy Technology, Biotech, Financial Services. His background includes accounting management, analytics and audit management for technology companies. In addition to Finance, he has managed operations, HR, administration, IT and marketing.
Jack is a current graduate student studying Engineering Management at Santa Clara University, where he received his B.S. in Web Design and Computer Engineering, specializing in UX design. He's had a lifelong passion for golfing and the outdoors, and when not at his desk you'll usually find him down at the range, or hammocking up in the mountains.

Lead Stem's product management team in the years leading up to and through their 2021 IPO. Launched new, AI-enabled energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial customers, public power agencies, and independent power producers. During this time, the product team's efforts enabled Stem to multiply assets under management by 70x and increase yield per asset more than 20%, all while increasing headcount by only 50%.
Kshitij has been working as an ESS Intern focusing on the hardware aspect of setting up energy storage systems transitioning from his role at NICE America Research to Relyion Energy. He has always been passionate about Renewable Energy Sources, Smart Grids, Microgrids, and Energy Storage. Kshitij has an MS in Power Systems & Sustainable Energy from Santa Clara University and BE in Electrical Engineering from University of Pune.
Kurt Williams is a Battery storage intern pursuing a dual B.S./M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and minor in Technical Innovation, Design Thinking, and the Entrepreneurial Mindset at Santa Clara University.
Pranav is a chemical and environmental engineer from Arizona State University focused on usability and recyclability of Li-ion batteries of various forms, chemistries and origination.
Ratnesh leads the technology creation at Relyion Energy Inc. He has over 20 years experience in energy management covering buildings, energy storage systems, microgrids and utility sector, in general. Through his past work at Hewlett-Packard, NEC Corporation and NICE America he has led various teams in technology development of energy storage systems from soup to nuts including AI/ML software for various applications. He has a PhD degree from University of Colorado at Boulder and BTech. (Hons.) degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He is a licensed Professional Engineer. He has (co)authored more than 200 papers/technical reports and holds 150 granted US patents.
