Pragnesh was born in India and moved to the United States in 1985 with his parents at the young age of 8. Growing up, he saw first-hand the struggles and hardship his parents experienced as first-generation immigrants adjusting to a new country. He learned early on, the value of hard work, sacrifice, determination and the real importance of planning early. It was very important to him to make sure that the new generations coming to this country does not make the same mistakes his parents made growing up. Prior to his work in the financial industry, Pragnesh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Maryland with a minor in Finance. He embarked on his career as a financial professional with New York Life in 2010. Within his first year, through hard work and a willingness to learn, and ongoing education, he quickly excelled and was the class leader of 2010. In the succeeding years, Pragnesh has climbed the ranks having earned Chairman's Council from 2018-2019. Chairman's Council reflects high levels of production at New York Life. Pragnesh resides in Columbia, MD with his wife, Puja and son, Avi. When he is not working hard for his clients, Pragnesh enjoys spending quality time traveling with his family. He enjoys exercising and cooking on the weekends to help relax and get ready for the upcoming week.
