SMITH'S RIDGE

Nestled near the Ozark hills on 12 acres, our family prioritizes a holistic approach to life. Our home is the hub of activity for our family. It's where we work to grow and raise our own food, operate a business, and teach our children. I'm Kelsey Smith. It wasn't long ago that climbing the proverbial ladder of success with my growing marketing agency as my top priority. It was a rush. I could easily say it was an addiction for me. After opening our home to share it with children in foster care, I found myself falling deeply in love with a little boy. Two short weeks of knowing him, I knew he was our son. As God would have it, we also welcomed his older brother three months into the placement, on the very weekend that Arkansas schools transitioned to Alternate Methods of Instruction (AMI) or online learning during the pandemic. The road to adopting our two boys was full of uncertainties but it literally changed my outlined on life. Ultimately, it changed who I am.
