Originally purchased from Steinway in 1893 by my great grandfather Edwin W. Glover, an internationally renowned piano teacher, the piano (serial #79420) has been handed down through the family ever since. In mid 2016, still with all its original 19 th century parts, it was shipped back to the Steinway factory in Astoria to be restored. Finished in late spring 2017 with all new parts, including a new Steinway soundboard, this beautiful instrument is an up-to-date Model A in an 1893 cabinet with ivory keys... 1893 Steinway piano (mahogany, Model A, ivory keys) fully restored at the Steinway factory with all modern parts, including a new Steinway soundboard.
