Two things are infinite: the universe and problems in the streaming space; and I'm not sure about the streaming space. The SVTA has achieved so much already and will continue doing so. It is growing and its impact will be growing, too. I am delighted to be recognized as an SVTA Industry Fellow. I would say that years of research, development and teamwork have paid off. My gratitude, special thanks and congratulations go to all my colleagues, collaborators and students.
Background
Ali C. Begen is currently a computer science professor at Ozyegin University and a technical consultant in Comcast's Advanced Technology and Standards Group. Previously, he was a research and development engineer at Cisco. Begen received his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. To date, he received several academic and industry awards (including an Emmy® Award for Technology and Engineering), and was granted 30+ US patents. In 2020 and 2021, he was listed among the world's most influential scientists in the subfield of networking and telecommunications. More details are at https://ali.begen.net.

Background
Amber manages day-to-day operations at Bhava, where she provides strategic business and team leadership. Her contributions support the people-focused culture at Bhava, with an emphasis on mentorship, career development and high-touch client relations. With more than 15 years in tech communications for B2B companies from startups to public corporations, Amber has deep experience in media and analyst relations, marketing, social media, customer evangelist programs, media training, M&A communications, investor relations, crisis communications, employee and C-suite communications and channel PR. Known for standout PR programs, she has been recognized with a Gold Stevie Award and honored as a PR News "Top Women in PR." Amber is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and also serves on the Widener University Communications Advisory Board. Prior to Bhava, Amber was the director of corporate communications at Quest Software. She started her tech career at VERITAS. Before entering tech, Amber worked as a radio news anchor and reporter, covering nationally visible stories. It's incredible that not so long ago it was a battle to persuade anyone that streaming would work, the internet wouldn't fall over, and it wasn't just cats on skateboards. That revolution required collaboration between content creators, hardware and software vendors, ISPs and more. I'm proud to have played a small part in that revolution, and honoured to be an SVTA fellow.

Brian Stevenson makes stuff up for a living. He is a passionate innovator, prolific patent filer, serial technology entrepreneur and an alumna of 5 successful start-ups that have helped shaped today's entertainment experience while bringing joy and excitement into the lives of millions of people. A huge proponent of IP based content processing and delivery, Brian has built many ground-breaking IP products and solutions for Operators, Studios and Content Owners, all while fostering the shift to "Cloud Native" and SaaS infrastructures and business models. Brian is a regular contributor to SMPTE, SCTE, and a frequent speaker at industry events on topics as diverse as Edge Computing, VR/AR & Haptics, and AI & Inference.
Brian has been an elected member of the Streaming Video Alliance Board of Directors for EDGE GRAVITY by Ericsson. He has also served on the board on behalf of Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia, and Ericsson.

Background
Chris Hock is a senior leader with a wealth of experience creating and bring new software solutions to market in both large companies and equity- and venture-backed start-ups. In his current role as Head of Business Strategy and Development at Adobe, Hock is responsible for defining and delivering solutions that drive revenue and profit growth by enabling Media and Entertainment companies to leverage data to acquire, engage and monetize high-value audiences. Prior, Hock created the most widely deployed addressable TV advertising system in the world while at BlackArrow/Cadent and before that at Macromedia/Adobe, lead the Flash video business from inception to become the leading platform for over-the-top and IP video delivery, earning him an Emmy award in the category. Hock holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Background
Dr. Abdul Rehman Chief Product Officer at IMAX. Prior to that, he was Founder and CEO/CTO at SSIMWAVE, which was acquired by IMAX in 2023. Software solutions offered by the company are used to measure and optimize the Viewer Experience across tens of millions of viewers everyday. His team was also awarded a PrimeTime Engineering Emmy award for significantly impacting television technology. The Television Academy had this to say, "SSIMWAVE's measurement standard represents a generational breakthrough in the video industry." He holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Systems from the University of Waterloo and a Master's in Communications Engineering from the Technical University of Munich. When he isn't working, Abdul can be found entertaining his energetic baby girl and spending time with his family. He enjoys the outdoors and challenging himself (like hiking the entire Grand Canyon!). He's an avid traveler, and has explored 25 countries and counting. He's a cricket enthusiast, and played the sport for many years.
Eric Klein is VP, Media Distribution Technology at SiriusXM. Eric graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a bachelor degree in Film Studies. Following university, Eric focused on early streaming video initiatives with Synaptic Digital, a public relations and marketing company working with brands such as Adidas and General Motors on their video delivery initiative. Eric has taken roles in product management, product marketing and project management, focusing on video platform development, live event streaming, social media integration and online video market analysis. He previously worked at Limelight Networks as a Solutions Engineer. He is an avid early technology adopter, with a passionate focus in home entertainment and a specialized interest in video quality and delivery.

Florencia is the Account Director at the Streaming Video Alliance. She has spent over ten years working with and managing organizations like the Alliance, serving in a variety of capacities including Executive Director. For the Alliance, she manages all logistics, operations, and finances, providing support to members, the Executive Director, and the board.
