Darren Howat

Darren is a design director and art director with over twelve years experience in creating and developing design and brand solutions for companies large and small. He has collaborated on a wide variety of campaigns, forming and leading projects that span the integrated workflow. His skills cover the full range of design and art direction - brand design, print, photography, and web. Originally from a brand design and print-based background he is equally conversant in creating and leading digital projects from concept stage right through to the final product. Darren has been a lead designer, design director or art director on projects for global brands including: Really English, Google Creative Lab UK, HP Palm, Akzo Nobel, Icap, Agent Provocateur, Audi, and Greenpeace. Beyond the design world he also spent a number years working as a set designer for film, and as a house renovation expert in Italy, where he still maintains a home. Darren has a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, from Central St Martins, and a MA in Graphic Design, from the Royal College of Art where he was awarded a Darwin scholarship, and was winner of the RCA centenary competition.

Nick Irons - Founder

For as long as he can remember, Nick has been a storyteller. He began his professional life in the entertainment industry as a performer, writer and producer and has over thirty film, theatre, and television credits to his name. Throughout his entertainment career he maintained an active interest in design and the web, and in 2005, whilst he was living in Los Angeles, developed a secondary career consulting for businesses on websites, presentations, and online communications. After almost six years of living and working in the US, Nick returned to London to focus full-time on brand communications, and after completing a Masters degree in digital media, co-founded Tribus Creative. In the past few years, he has researched and written a wide range of materials (including film and TV scripts, proposals, blog posts, e-books, press releases; and presentations) and overseen numerous brand and web design projects. Nick has a BA (Joint Hons) in Drama, Film & TV with English, a diploma in Acting from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and an MA (with distinction) in Digital Media Practice. He is also a guest lecturer on interactive media at Kingston University and Google AdWords Certified.
