Dr. Matthew D. Kiernan - Associate Professor at Northumbria University, UK where he established The Northern Hub for Veterans and Military Families' Research. Before joining Northumbria University in January 2013 Matthew was a Lieutenant Commander in the Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service. Originally qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 1991 he subsequently qualified as a RN (Mental Health) in 2001 with a BSC Med Sci from Sheffield University. He was awarded a PhD from Nottingham University in 2011. He was the Head of Mental Health Nursing in the Royal Navy, the Specialist Nurse Advisor for Mental Health (Royal Navy) and the Defence Specialist Nurse Advisor (Mental Health) prior to taking up his appointment as a Senior Research Fellow at the Academic Department for Defence Nursing. Currently he is Scientific Chair of EMDR UK and Ireland's Science & Research Committee, a review for both national and international journals, an Associate Editor of the international Journal of EMDR Practice and Research and Chair of the Independent Advisory Panel for the Infantry Training Centre Catterick and the British Army School of Infantry. Matthew leads a highly successful research center which covers all aspects of veteran and military family's health and social wellbeing with a strong record of success in securing research funding and publishing in this field.
Dr. Zeynep Zat is EMDR Europe Accredited EMDR Trainer Candidate, Consultant, and Practitioner. Zeynep is an EMDR Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) and Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP) Trainer. She is a counselling psychologist registered with the Health Care Profession Council (HCPC) and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Zeynep is based in London and provides psychological services under her own company Institute for Change. She has also been working at the Institute for Behavioral Studies in Istabul for 30 years as Counselling Psychologist and Projects Manager. Zeynep is a member of EMDR Association UK and former board member of the EMDR Turkey Association.

Johnny Moran - National Co-ordinator Trauma Response Network Ireland. Johnny is Clinical Director of Open Minds Centre Trauma Clinic in Dublin specialising in treatment of Trauma and PTSD. He is an accredited EMDR Europe Trauma Consultant, an accredited EMDR Child & Adolescent Consultant, an accredited EMDR Institute Training Facilitator, an accredited Supervisor and integrative psychotherapist with IAHIP (Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists), accredited counsellor with IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and ICP (Irish Council of Psychotherapy). Johnny is a board certified hypnotist and certified instructor with National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and is a trained Jungian Sandplay therapist. Johnny serves on the boards of Trauma Aid Europe, EMDR All-Ireland Association and served on the board of Employee Assistance Professionals Association (2017 - 2020) and on the Finance Committee of Ireland's largest professional counselling body IACP (2017 - 2020).
