Alex Garcia is the co-founder and CEO/Creative Director of upLIVE. Alex is an award winning, professional with experience as an educator and broadcaster. He has been a News Director, Assignments Editor, Environmental Reporter, Producer, radio broadcaster and of course Meteorologist. Alex has over 40 years of media experience that he brings to the table. His expertise in producing stories, mini-documentaries and developing motion graphics and stills set him apart in the media field. Alex is also an accomplished videographer, editor, set-designer and graphics designer. He brings a high level of professionalism and dedication to every project he takes on.

Candice Garcia is the Co-Founder, Executive Producer and Content Manager for upLive! During her attendance at the University of the Incarnate Word, she began her TV career interning at the San Antonio FOX affiliate KABB and NBC affiliate WOAI. Soon after she graduated she was offered a job as a Production Assistant at KABB and was then promoted to Associate Producer. That position gave her the opportunity to work on special projects which led her to earn her first Emmy Nomination as a Producer. Candice then went over to the CBS affiliate KENS 5 where she was offered a job as a Producer. From there she moved to Austin to work at NBC affiliate KXAN. There she produced weekends, and filled in on the 5pm, 6pm newscasts. Candice had the opportunity to field produce in Wimberely after the Memorial Day floods struck in 2013 including doing a live phoner as her and her photographer were stuck on a highway because of flooding. During her time at KXAN, Candice also went undercover for investigative stories and did English to Spanish voiceovers for reporters. She was then moved to produce the noon newscast which soon became an hour long show. Her unique producing techniques led the noon to become #1 in household views in the Austin market. Candice also has had the opportunity to work with many celebrities including Thomas Ian Nicholas and Brian O'Halloran. Her high level and creative producing expertise will make any project she gets stand out.

Hondo Garcia is the Co-Founder, Director of Operations, Editor and Graphic Designer for upLive! With more than 20 years of production experience, he began his TV career at the age of 15 where he worked at the FOX affiliate KABB as a Production Assistant and was later promoted to Chief of Production. From there, Hondo continued to expand his knowledge of the business by becoming an overnight photographer for NBC affiliate WOAI. Soon after he took on the role as Chief Editor. Hondo wanted to continue his passion for videography and was offered a position at KABB as a Photojournalist. This led to his first award from the Associated Press for Breaking News. Hondo then went on to the CBS affiliate KENS 5 where he worked as an Editor and Photojournalist. From there he moved to Austin to work at the FOX affiliate KTBC as a Photojournalist. Hondo's passion for learning more has led him to go beyond what he's been taught in the TV business. He has developed a new talent for graphic design. He has made designs for several local business including Pinnacle Martial Arts, hair and nail salons, and The National Tropical Weather Conference. With a high level of attention to detail, Hondo makes sure every project he takes on will be the vision you want to come to life.
