Prior to Artis, Buket has 5 years' experience in trading houses monitoring client relationship and processing trade finance transactions including letter of credits and supply chain financing and dealing with commodity traders from US, Middle East, and Asia. Buket holds a Master with Merit in International Business and Management from the University of Westminster. She is fluent in English and Turkish.

Alida has over 15 years of experience of financial and management accounting across various industries including FMCG, construction and property. Before joining Artis, Alida held senior financial positions with various recruitment firms. She holds a B.Com Management Accounting Degree from Stellenbosch University. Alida is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA,CGMA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 2014.
Keith has over 14 years of corporate and commercial law experience and is a registered attorney of the South African High Court. Keith has gained experience in top tier and specialised law firms in South Africa, with a focus on M&A, corporate structuring and financial transactions. In 2012, Keith established an independent commercial and corporate law firm providing these legal services to local and international clients. Keith holds a B.Bus.Sc (Law) and LLB from the University of Cape Town as well as an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business.

Prior to joining Artis, Harry was a Portfolio Manager at RiverRock European Capital Partners. With over 10 ten years' experience in the sector, he worked as a commodity trader with Bunge, Export Trading Group and ASR Group, before moving into private equity and debt with a particular focus on trade and real asset strategies Harry holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA (Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Edinburgh. He is a fluent speaker of French, Spanish and Portuguese and has extensive international experience, particular in emerging markets.
Daniel brings ten years' credit experience to the business. Before joining the team, Daniel spent five years as a Lead Credit Analyst for GIB UK Asset Management, with a specific focus on trade finance. Prior to this, Daniel spent four years working as a Senior Credit Analyst at Westpac Banking Corporation, where he was also a graduate earlier in his career. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
Prior to joining Artis, Ethan spent nearly five years as a middle officer in BNP Paribas Hong Kong's commodity finance department, with a focus on the monitoring letter of credit (LC) and receivables transactions, as well facilitating internal and external communications. He has experience dealing with banks and commodity traders across Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Ethan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Macquarie University, Sydney Australia.
Prior to Artis, Clint served as Originator at Africa Merchant Capital, where he managed deal origination, structuring and portfolio performance. He has built up substantial experience in credit analyst and origination roles. Before starting his finance career, Clint worked in management roles within the natural resources industry, helping execute major projects. Clint holds an MBA from EADA Business School and an Advanced Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering from EIT. He has also completed Level 1 of the CFA program.
Andrew has over ten years of experience within the banking space, largely at HSBC, where he focused on commodity and structured trade finance. He has previously helped found a couple of start-up ventures in the tech space and has a particular interest in how blockchain technology is helping to bring trade finance into the 21st century.

Gary joined the Artis Board as a Non Executive Director, and he is also a voting member of the Investment Committee and a Managing Partner at TDR Capital. Prior to joining TDR, he worked at Citi and Bear Stearns in their M&A departments. Gary received a Masters degree in Finance with distinction from the University of Strathclyde and a Masters degree in Chemistry, with first class honours, from the University of Edinburgh.
Marcus has 20+ years experience leading strategy for tech-enabled businesses. Prior to Artis, Marcus ran the access to finance service for UK Finance and the Federation of Small Businesses. As early contributor, he helped shape the UK's Open Banking standard. Previously, he launched the first B2B cloud services marketplace for Arrow Electronics, a Fortune 500. Marcus is fluent in English and German.

Grégoire joined Artis as Non Executive Director, a post he holds alongside his role at TDR Capital as an Investment Director. Before TDR, he worked at Providence Equity, Mount Kellett Capital Management, and M&A at Goldman Sachs. Grégoire started his career as a junior adviser for technology, energy and telecoms to French President Nicolas Sarkozy. He holds a Masters degree in Finance from HEC Paris business school.

John has decades of experience as a leading trade finance industry figure. He has been Global Head of Trade Finance at Standard Bank for the past twenty two years, having spent two decades at Chase Manhattan (now JP Morgan & Chase) where he founded the global trade finance team in the late 1970s. He studied PPE at New College Oxford and mastered in Middle East Politics and Development Economics at SOAS.

Before joining Artis, Alexander was a financial analyst with Third Bridge Group London. Currently finalising a PhD project on the legal challenges of applying disruptive technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) in the transfer of ownership, he has combined his academic career with building Artis' presence in Europe. At present, he is focused on an innovative investment strategy within capital relief trades. Alexander holds a Master's in Law & Anthropology from the London School of Economics and degrees in both Law and Modern History from KU Leuven. He is fluent in English, Dutch and French.
Prior to joining Artis, Guillaume worked at Morgan Stanley in London focussing on credit and liquidity risk. He has over 8 eight years of treasury, risk and financial markets experience developed through projects at investment banks and other financial institutions in UK, Nigeria, Switzerland, Canada and Belgium. Guillaume holds a master's in Commercial Science from KU Leuven-Brussels and further pursued a master's in Banking and Finance at Ghent University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Colin joined Artis as Non Executive Director and member of the Investment Committee. His expertise spans assessing risk, structured finance and insurance. Over the past three decades, he held senior positions in leading organisations including Mitsubishi Corp, Midland Bank, Bank of America and Stemcor Group. He has a BSc in European Studies (Economics) from University of Kent, and an MBA from CASS Business School.

Nadia has more than 20 years of experience in audit, accounting and treasury management in various industries. Prior to joining Artis, she served as Head of Finance at PETRONAS Energy Trading. Nadia completed her training contract at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2005, holds a BCompt Degree from the University of South Africa, having also completed her CIMA Adv Dip MA with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Peter is co-founder and CEO of Global Trade Review, the world's leader in global trade and trade finance intelligence, publishing, news and events. With over 25 years' experience in the financial media industry, Peter is responsible for running the global business, which publishes GTR and runs over 20 conferences around the world. GTR has a proprietary network of over 25,000 decision makers in trade finance, treasury and insurance.
Prior to joining Artis, Monika acted as Group Financial Controller for The Cambridge Strategy (Asset Management) Limited. She has broad experience of financial leadership in financial services, having trained in a private accountancy practice. Monika qualified as a Certified Accountant in 2013 and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She has a first-class degree in accounting and finance from Kingston University.
Luminita, a part-qualified accountant with an ACCA qualification in progress, brings a blend of financial expertise and client-centricity to her role. Holding a first-class honours Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from London Metropolitan University, her background spans both accounting and finance, along with sales experience. Skilled in collaborating with executives, overseeing vendor accounts, and conducting in-depth financial analysis. Luminita's proficiency in English, Romanian, and intermediate Russian allows her to connect effectively with diverse clients
Amrita joined Artis after five years at engineering firm IMI Plc, where she served in commercial roles based in both the UK and Singapore, including as a market and pricing analyst for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. She holds a Master's with Merit in Risk Management & Financial Engineering from Imperial College London and an MEng (hons) in Civil Engineering from University College London.
Tristan has over 15 years' experience in the technology space. Prior to joining Artis, Tristan worked within schools and educational institutions across the world, applying best practices and supporting technology integration into the delivery of teaching and learning. He has welcomed and embraced the opportunity to apply his skills in the financial services space.
Hugh brings more than 25 years' experience in private equity, principal investing and leverage finance to Artis. He previously held senior roles at Macquarie, CVC Capital Partners, as well as Mid Ocean Partners (formerly DB Capital). Hugh has closed over 50 high profile European private equity transactions, refinancing's and restructurings, including TDC, Techem, Evonik, Sunrise, Jefferson Smurfit and Centre Parcs and sat on the Board of 12 Companies.

Tim was formerly COO of Salomon Brothers International and a Director of Kleinwort Benson Limited. He subsequently founded a venture capital business focused on the technology market in 2000. Tim graduated with a degree in PPE from the University of Oxford and qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co.
Grace has worked in a variety of operational and research roles across industries including medicine, healthcare, and beauty and lifestyle. Prior to joining Artis, Grace worked for a start-up business focussed on sustainability. Grace is responsible for Artis' ESG initiatives, both in respect of Artis and Artis' client portfolio and client pipeline. In addition to this, Grace attends to Artis' general office administration including events and travel coordination
Waldo founded Artis Finance in 2019 based on fifteen years of private debt and equity experience across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He previously held senior roles across trade finance, asset and portfolio management. In 2016, he joined boutique bank Africa Merchant Capital as managing director, launching its trade finance business. He holds a B-tech (Honours) in financial information systems from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Ian joined Artis as Chairman of the Board and Chief Investment Officer. He has more than 30 years of experience across all aspects of international finance including banking, corporate finance, insurance and asset management. He has worked for major banks and commodity traders, covering global and emerging markets. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, alongside an Islamic Finance Qualification.
