GB Power Hockey Association is the governing body for the exciting disability sport, Power Hockey. It is an invasion sport played using specially designed power wheelchairs and a hockey ball. Power Hockey is played predominantly by power wheelchair users similarly to Power Football, which most Power Hockey participants also play... As a CIO with advanced knowledge of the disability sport, Power Hockey, our aim is to provide and assist in the provision of facilities by creating a governing body for a number of Power Hockey clubs to be established. This will allow for leagues to be formulated and regulated. This is in the interest of social welfare of those who have a disability, giving those individuals a chance to be a part of a community, a sports team and a chance to play at a competitive level.
