Chris Northcote - CTO

Chris is our lead Technical Writer; playing a pivotal role in supporting WeBid and our clients with their technical requirements, including written submissions, presentations, models and IT infrastructure. Chris is our lead Technical Writer, working closely with project teams to transfer technical solutions and methodology into a compelling narrative. He has the excellent communication and organisation skills required to merge technical inputs from large multidisciplinary, multi-organisation teams into a cohesive, winning response - drawing on transferable skills from his previous role project managing large exhibitions and events across the globe. Chris is also highly skilled in 3D modelling, animation and development of bespoke bid graphics and client / Joint Venture branding. He has developed BIM 'flythroughs' to enhance post-tender presentations on high profile, strategic bids, as well as supporting client teams in preparation and training for presentations. As our Technical Director, Chris is also responsible WeBid's IT infrastructure, applying two decades of experience to ensure our hardware, software, processes and systems remain fit for purpose, secure and efficient.

Dr Caroline Rosimus-Wilson

Dr Caroline Rosimus-Wilson PhD MRCP is a NHS Consultant Oncologist in Sheffield. She works as our Healthcare Specialist to support client-engaged healthcare planners on clinical adjacency and infection control design solutions on schemes where oncology is a key department for consideration.

James Allan - CTO

James is a highly skilled Bid Manager, specialising in complex large-scale projects, utilising his IEMA certification to enhance environment and sustainability solutions. James is our dedicated Environment and Sustainability Consultant. He applies his IEMA Environmental Management training and knowledge across rail, highways, nuclear, construction, civils and healthcare sectors to create top scoring submissions. This is a key service for our clients as questions covering the environment typically account for thehighest weighted responses. James is most at home on complex and large-scale bids, keeping the focus on customer needs and win strategies, while sustaining a positive bid experience for the team. He brings experience working across a range of disciplines, providing him with a holistic view of the entire project lifecycle. This includes supporting designers, M&E consultants, environmental consultants, architects, contractors and maintenance contractors to secure projects. James also brings transferable experience from the financial services industry which he applies to develop WeBid's business development strategy, targeting new clients, sectors and expanding our geographic reach.

Jennifer Northcote

Jen creates winning responses, extracting key drivers through extensive bid interrogation and subject matter expert engagement. She brings excellent communication and organisation skills - placing her in high demand. Jen started her career in the financial services industry, bringing transferable skills to her role at WeBid, including the ability to apply a flexible approach to working with a wide variety of clients and sectors. Jen demonstrated early on that she had exceptional communication skills and the ability to extract strong evidence and added value from clients' subject matter experts and transfer this into a compelling narrative. She progressed quickly to Senior Consultant and Bid Manager, building lasting relationships and repeat business with key clients. Jen has worked on successful bids across a wide variety of sectors including construction, civils, rail, highways, nuclear, energy, education and healthcare. This has allowed her to apply cross sector learning and insight to continually improve the quality and standards of our bids, making her a highly requested Senior Consultant. Jen is experienced in working on a wide variety of responses, ranging from leadership, organisation and CVs, through to technical methodologies on large, Joint Venture bids. She has also received Health, Safety and Wellbeing training - in recognition that this topic features on the majority of tenders, accounting for some of the highest question weightings.

Jessica Allan - Managing Director

Jess is methodical, with an eye for detail. She is a systematic and critical thinker, known for her focus on quality and ability to create bespoke bid strategies which align to the specific drivers of the project and client. Jess' meticulous attention to detail and ability to turn responses into top scoring submissions has led to her promotion to Quality Director. She reviews our team's writing plans and tender responses, develops and maintains our quality and bid management procedures and provides training to continually improve our performance. Jess brings 12 years' experience working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK, including High Speed Two, Lower Thames Crossing and the A303 Stonehenge. She applies transferable skills from her Bachelor of Science degree, including thorough research and analysis of large, complex tenders to extract key information and identify wider project, client and geopolitical drivers to develop bespoke win themes. She engages subject matter experts to constructively challenge solutions and extract proposals and evidence into a compelling, cohesive submission which aligns to the evaluation criteria. Jess is in constant demand for our highest profile bids across major civils, rail, healthcare, highways and nuclear sectors. She also provides a ‘bid interrogator' service which includes mock evaluations and feedback or editing to enhance clients' evaluation scores.

Joanne Bull

Jo is our Social Value and Education expert, bringing 33 years' working in the Education sector, including as a former Headteacher. Jo is our dedicated social value and education expert - working as a Senior Consultant and providing an in-house peer review of WeBid's social value responses. She is an asset to our team and provides our clients with a competitive edge - particularly as social value accounts for some of the highest weighting tender responses in recent years. Jo applies her experience and knowledge of Government and local authority education and skills drivers. This includes working as a former Headteacher in schools with high levels of deprivation - with a strong focus on prevention of young people Not in Education or Employment and creating opportunities for vulnerable children such as Care Leavers. Jo brings the additional added benefits of transferable leadership, writing, evaluation, and critical thinking skills. She is also fluent in Spanish and French as a former Head of Languages - skills that have allowed her to communicate effectively and translate documents when working with major European clients. Jo has expanded her skills further through our continual professional development programme - focusing on Health, Safety and Wellbeing training. Jo is now our Health, Safety and Wellbeing lead writer, enabling us to offer specialist writing services to our clients.

Katie Herring

Laura Ford

Having enjoyed a successful career spanning 17 years in the financial services industry, Laura was keen to make the seamless transition to a company where she could further apply her skill set: excellent written and verbal communication skills and precise attention to detail. Now a consultant at WeBid, Laura follows our winning approach of embedding herself into clients teams, conducting thorough research of tender and works information documents, as well as wider client and government strategies. This allows her to understand why clients are asking specific questions in order to align these drivers with unique selling points and key strengths to develop top scoring submissions Laura has experience in PQQ, ITT, CVs and case studies in various sectors, including rail, construction, highways and major civil engineering for both projects and frameworks.

Natalie Boyes

With over 15 years' experience in the construction and civil engineering industry, Natalie has an impressive track record of delivering winning submissions on major projects and frameworks. Natalie has worked on the most high profile projects and frameworks in the UK - including High Speed Two, major National Highways frameworks and every YORHub tender submission. She brings transferable skills and knowledge through her HNC in Construction and the Built Environment, giving her an understanding of technical terminology and solutions, the ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts and practical insight into project development and management. One of Natalie's greatest achievements is her time working on the Transpennine Route Upgrade - a multi-billion pound rail project across the Pennines. This includes supporting the client from PQQ, through to tender and her ongoing support over the last five years managing the large, multidisciplinary, Joint Venture Section Proposal team. This outstanding achievement and insight into Network Rail's ways of working has led to her recent promotion to Rail Director - providing strategic oversight on all our rail project tenders and Control Period framework submissions.

Peter Bull

Peter is a highly accomplished Chartered Accountant, playing a crucial role in developing and tailoring cost, risk and budget responses to achieve winning submissions. Peter brings transferable skills and knowledge through over 30 years' experience working in Corporate Finance to strengthen our offering to clients. He is our dedicated Senior Consultant for all cost, risk, budget / cost commentary and commercial management tender responses. Peter has worked with our clients' in-house commercial teams to develop top scoring responses across a wide range of sectors and contract types, including NEC 4 and JCT (various options). This includes civil engineering, construction, rail, highways and healthcare tenders. He is also experienced at integrating seamlessly into large, multidisciplinary, Joint Venture teams. Peter brings strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct detailed research, extracting concise and relevant information. He applies these skills to produce weekly market intelligence reports for our Directors, allowing us to target our business development activities and offer early support to our clients for strategic bids. Peter also produces our best practice blog - The Edge - shared with all our writers to ensure our tender responses reflect the latest innovations and industry learnings (available on our website). This includes capturing and sharing innovations through his membership to various industry forums and professional bodies such as Project 13 membership.

Richard Hilton

As our newly appointed Bid Director, Richard possess a commitment to deliver excellence in bid writing and management, with a reputation for consistent client satisfaction. As a successful professional with a wealth of transferable skills gained as a manager in the banking sector, Richard possesses a commitment to deliver excellence and a reputation for client satisfaction. Richard applies his management and customer service experience to successfully manage bids; proven as one of our most requested consultants. He has provided bid management and lead writer services for a range of clients across multiple disciplines, including designers, M&E consultants, architects, cost consultants, civils contractors and maintenance contractors. This includes working across nuclear, rail, highways, construction, healthcare and education sectors. When writing tenders, Richard writes high quality, effective, concise and compelling content, gathered through team interviews, previous client submissions, and his own sector knowledge and market research. His ability to work as part of client teams and extract accurate, high-quality information is essential to work winning, and something he thrives on.

An excellent writer and Bid Manager, Sam specialises in design submissions where the vision is a key integrator across the full tender. Her motivational and challenging style brings the best out of teams, ensuring we raise the bar for every submission. Sam has risen quickly up the WeBid ranks, taking full advantage of our management training programme and proving her skills by leading several high profile tenders and subsequent successful awards. She has supported clients throughout all stages of procurement, including pre-tender strategy development through to major competitive dialogue involvement and post-tender presentations. Sam brings excellent communication and organisation skills and has a keen eye for detail. This makes her an exceptional Senior Writer and Bid Manager - able to motivate and challenge the team to produce their best work and ensure large submissions are cohesive, consistent and aligned to the bid strategy and evaluation criteria. Sam specialises in design submissions where the vision is a key integrator across the full tender. She has also undertaken specialist training in key areas such as Project Management, and Health, Safety and Wellbeing to enable us to enhance our offering to clients.

Steph Yeadon - COO, Managing Director

Steph is accountable for maintaining and continually improving WeBid's 95% win rate, high quality standards and generating repeat business through our long-term client relationships. In 2007 Steph recognised a gap in the market, which was dominated by large, non-exclusive bid consultancies. She formed her own company, initially with one writer, expanding to a team of 20 exclusive consultants who have helped clients secure business on some of the UK's most high profile projects and frameworks. Steph takes a hands-on role in supporting our clients to develop win themes and bid strategies on our most high profile, strategic bids across construction, rail, highways, nuclear, healthcare, education and civil engineering sectors. She motivates and empowers our bid team to be their best, is accountable for our overall performance and high quality standards and invests heavily in professional development to continually improve our service. Steph also brings experience and insight of working client-side - including her position as former Operations Director for the Australian company Works Infrastructure, and as the first female to hold a director position within Railtrack as the National Contracts Director. Steph was previously responsible for evaluating tender responses, bringing a direct understanding of how to make information clear, concise and engaging for the reader. Her previous roles give Steph first-hand experience of how tender proposals translate into the reality of an operational project.
