Throughout his career, he has contributed to several medical and consumer publications on the topics of Gastroenterology, Hepatitis C, colonoscopy, and other health-related issues. His is clinical interests in Hepatology include new treatments for Chronic Hepatitis C, low testosterone, and insulin resistance, as well as nutritional evaluation and treatment.
Dr. Amer Khatib is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified gastroenterology specialist with over 25 years diverse experience. He received his medical degree from University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona and The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Khatib has served as head of the scientific committee and Board member of Friends of Liver Disease Patients Society and a faculty member of the International Society of Surgical Oncology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Transplantation, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
