Esther Chang Worley

Born in Taiwan, Esther began piano lessons at the age of 5 and started providing music for her local church at age 9. She began teaching piano at age 13. She studied with Dr. Ning Lu at the University of Utah and received first place in several categories of the 2013 Summer Arts Competition and honorable mentions in the UMTA concerto competitions. Esther has performed with the Salt Lake Symphony and American West Symphony. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in piano performance under the tutelage of Dr. Scott Holden. Esther was actively involved in multimedia performances while at BYU and presented at the 2019 MTNA Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium in Washington D.C. and the 2020 MTNA National Conference in Spokane, WA. Esther has also spent time in Vienna, Austria performing and studying with professors Maria Prinz and Walter Fleischmann. Esther also enjoys working with nonprofit organizations and has interned with Utah Symphony Utah Opera and Women's Artistic Leadership Initiative. She loves to watch students get excited about the music they are learning and accomplish hard things each week.
