Hygienic, Treatment- Free Honeybees We sell queens, nucs and honey in Alabama, United States... Our bees are a mixture of mostly Russian with a little VSH Italian and also some feral genetics. Although not originally our intent, we have never treated our bees. We did have fairly heavy losses for a couple of years, but as time went on our survivors became resilient in their own defense against Varroa mites. Our mite washes now consistently measure at around 1% infestation in August and September. Our colonies are inspected for health yearly by the State of Alabama Apiary Protection Unit and we also participate in the USDA APHIS Honey Bee Pests & Disease Survey
