Sometimes life is really difficult and you don't have to be alone. My approach is to utilize empirically based approaches to treat mental health issues and the impact of life stressors. I treat many mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, end of life issues, care-giver stress, life transitions, chronic medical illnesses, and trauma and abuse... Life stressors can create disconnection in our significant relationships, leading to increased feelings of isolation, resentment, sadness, and longing. Therapy can help to repair these important connections and promote a deeper understanding and feelings of closeness with our partners. Specifically, I work from the theoretical approach of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with my clients, which focuses on learning how to be the best partner we can be and to create a bond that is resilient and strong.
