Cody Cox

An area resident since 2004, Cody and his wife, Heather, daughter Avery, 3 dogs, 23 chickens, 1 turkey, 8 rabbits, 1 cat, and a miniature horse named Bow live just outside the city limits. He works for a local non-profit that provides therapeutic riding services to special-needs individuals. He enjoys the blessing of small-town living and works relentlessly to preserve old traditions in The Gap while creating new ones that showcase the lifestyle we all know and love.

Jeff Dressen - Chairman

Our Board Chair was born and raised in Taylor County and takes pride that his family has been here for 100 years. A founding member of the Chamber and a former Texas Tech student, Jeff and his wife, Trish, have two boys and a girl, and all are committed to helping Buffalo Gap maintain its charm and charisma while it welcomes rapid new growth.

Julie Wilson

After a corporate and entrepreneurial career, Julie and her husband, Gary, moved to the Big Country to be closer to the grandkids who attend Jim Ned schools. Her mantra is to collaborate, communicate, and convene, which made her the ideal candidate to serve the Chamber as its first ever part-time executive.

Lisa Perini

Lisa has been a driving force in creating the Buffalo Gap Chamber. A previous Chamber executive herself, she also helped develop the Texas Heritage Trails Program. As co-owner of several area businesses, she served as president of the Texas State Restaurant Association. She and her husband, Tom, are dedicated to preserving the country way of life in our community while welcoming newcomers from all walks of life.

Nancy Henderson

Nancy moved to Buffalo Gap in 1945 and has been here ever since. She rode her horse to school when it was still in the Presbyterian College, prior to the Jim Ned days. She served as Regional Executive Director for the Girl Scouts Council and was a co-founder of Camp Able in Buffalo Gap, where she continues to serve on the board. She is also a founding member of the Buffalo Gap Chamber.

Nathan Lowry

Job Titles:

Nathan moved to the Big Country in 2005 and attended Hardin-Simmons University. He joined the Chamber board in 2021. He and his wife, Misty - a Big Country native - own Big Country Title. They have three active children and an English pointer. The Lowrys live just outside the city limits of Buffalo Gap and enjoy the quality of life that our community offers. You can find them roaming The Gap on any given weekend.

Rhonda Moore

  • Founding Member of the Chamber
Rhonda is a founding member of the Chamber and chairs the Welcome Committee and several special events committees. She, husband Lee, and their children, settled just outside Buffalo Gap in 2004, and became deeply rooted to the community. Rhonda enjoys hospitality and owns Buffalo Gap Lodging LLC.

Trish Dressen

Trish grew up in Abilene and has fond memories of the Buffalo Gap Arts Festival, trips to the Flea Market, and frequenting Deutschlander's Catfish House while growing up in the area. She and her husband, Jeff, are proud to raise their children in Buffalo Gap and usher in a new generation to help preserve the history and heritage of this area as members of the Chamber board.
