JULIE COKER

From an early age, I had a deep curiosity about the world around me and, more specifically, people: I was both an avid reader and frequent observer of everything that came my way. I was fascinated in learning about the variety of human experience and the challenges that people are able to overcome, that process of metamorphosis... My interests led me to graduate school and my own personal therapy, where I expanded my knowledge as well as developing greater self awareness. This was both the best and most difficult part of my life, as it required me shifting from observer to participant and confronting my own personal barriers. As a result of both my knowledge and personal experience, I believe that the therapy process can open doors we didn't know existed and I have seen the power of allowing ourselves the messy and often painful process of change.
