Ponnani Taluk Muslim Orphanage Association(PTMOA)was founded in 1984. Late reverent K V Usthad koottanad was the founder president of PTMOA and Darul HIdaya establishments.Darul Hidaya Orphanage Higher Secondary (DHOHSS), is a well reputed school, located in Pookkarathara, Edappal Panchayath, Malappuram District, Kerala. The school was the realisation of the dream of the trust members of PTMOA,under the patronage of late reverent K. V. Muhammed Musliyar Koottanad(president),late Mr.K. V. Muhammed Haji Ayilakkad (Treasurer) and Mr.P. V. Muhammed Moulavi (Secretary)... Under the guidance of a group of talented pool of faculties, we can proudly say that we have been instrumental in the social economic and cultural upliftment of the society for the last 25 years. Our ceaseless effort to mould an educationally and culturally enriched society has been successful and we have proved ourselves that 'a good example is the best sermon'.
