The overall aim of Dutch Parkinson Scientists is to accelerate scientific research into the causes and consequences of the (treatment of) Parkinson's disease and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's. Our mission is to lower the prevalence, develop disease-modifying treatment strategies and improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson's disease or related parkinsonism... ParkinsonNEXT is an online platform where people with Parkinson's, their relatives and care providers can easily participate in research. We help researchers find participants for their studies, which range from questionnaire research to clinical trials. Our database now covers more than 3800 participants. Through ParkinsonNEXT, researchers and companies can therefore do better research and achieve a breakthrough in the treatment of people with Parkinson's.
