CoLAB ForestWISE® - Collaborative Laboratory for Integrated Forest and Fire Management - is a private, non-profit organisation. The CoLAB seal was attributed by the FCT on 30 January 2018 and its legal constitution took place on 29 September 2018... We promote integrated forest and fire management, based on (co)research and development activities, the transfer of knowledge and technologies, acting as an interface between industry, academia and public administration with an impact on the forest and fire domains and on society... As a result of our work, we aim to contribute to increasing sustainable forest management in Portugal, to the competitiveness of the Portuguese forestry sector and to reducing the negative consequences of major rural fires.
