Anael received her B.A. from Macalester College where she studied computer science and applied mathematics and statistics with a concentration in cognitive science. During this time she participated in three summer research internships, two in software engineering and one in computer science education. Her undergraduate honors thesis was based on her work in computer science education, which focused on the social help-seeking behavior of introductory programming students. After graduating, she started applying her technical skills to psychology research as a postgraduate research assistant at Yale University studying the mental health climate of early education and childcare settings. Lastly, her most recent research position at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis VA Health Care System looked at detecting early cognitive decline in older adults using unobtrusive technology to monitor changes in daily living and activity. Anael enjoys dancing, hiking, and cooking/baking.

Annette Bruscino

Annette earned her master's and specialist's degrees in school psychology from the University of Florida and has practiced in both public and independent schools. She received her Orton Gillingham Training through Orton Gillingham of Minnesota as well as through Orton Gillingham Reading Specialists, where she worked as a tutor. Her graduate training and work in psycho-educational assessment and learning differences provide a foundation for understanding individual student needs and guides her work as a tutor. Outside of work, you can find Annette in the kitchen baking or painting at the easel. Sundays in the fall are reserved for cheering on the Vikings with her family.

Annikki Bloomquist

Annikki has 10+ years of teaching experience with elementary and middle school-aged students at public and private schools in New York, Connecticut, and Minnesota. She is especially interested in students' learning process and has completed LETRS training and Orton-Gillingham training 1 and 2. She is eager to meet the students and faculty at Groves and to become part of the Groves Learning Organization. When not teaching, Annikki loves to spend time with her daughters, go for long bike rides, travel to warm places near the ocean, and cook with food from her vegetable garden. Annikki earned a B.S. in Spanish and Psychology from Scripps College in Claremont, CA in 2003. In 2005, she completed her Childhood Education M.S.T. at Fordham University in New York City. Annikki also holds a certificate in Gifted and Talented Education from Hunter College in New York City and a Waldorf Teaching Certificate from Antioch University in New Hampshire.

Aurie graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Gustavus Adolphus College. From there, she went right into the non-profit world to be a K-1st grade teacher for an extended school day program in St Louis Park, MN. After spending seven years as a teacher, Aurie took on a more administrative role within the same organization. Now having joined GLO, she continues to work with families as a part of the admissions team at Groves Academy. Aurie loves to travel and will never turn down a chance to go somewhere. Aurie also enjoys cross stitching and reading to relax.
