Beforehand Nicolas worked as a Visiting Consultant at different strategic management consulting firms, e. g. for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants or Arthur D. Little, where he consulted different clients among others in technological-strategical questions and in the field of patents.
Dr. Martin Thimm obtained his diploma degree in Mathematics at the University of Bonn where he graduated with emphasis in discrete mathematics. Thereafter he graduated as a Master in Computer Science at the FernUniversität Hagen. He conducted various interdisciplinary research projects relating to bioinformatics between 1999 and 2005. In 2006 he gained a PhD degree in Computer Science from Humboldt University in Berlin for his work on "Algorithms in Drug Design".
Dr. Martin Thimm has been working in the field of Intellectual Property since 2006 when he joined a Munich based patent law firm. He qualified as a European patent attorney in 2010 and as a German patent attorney in 2011. He joined Gulde & Partner in 2015. His technical area of specialization is on computer-implemented inventions, in particular in the field of telecommunications and in connection with coding and decoding procedures.

Rico Henze studied physics at the Technische Universität Berlin with foci on lasers and spectroscopy. He further holds European Master's Degrees of Science in Optics for the Information Society related to optical engineering and information technology from the Ecole Généraliste d'Ingénieurs de Marseille, the Politecnico di Milano and the Technische Universität Berlin. His doctorate in experimental physics with specialisations in applied quantum optics and integrated nanophotonics he received from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Simon Lang studied physics at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz. He completed his PhD in 2014 at the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen/Nuremberg, spending a year of this time as a researcher at the Leopold-Franzens-University in Innsbruck. His PhD research focused on the formation of glasses, dynamics and structure of liquids in cavities as well as the transport through porous materials. He has extensive experience in mechanics, thermodynamics and electronics. Simon Lang is registered as German and European Patent Attorney. He works for Gulde and Partner since 2015.

Dr. Sönke Lorenz graduated from King's College London as a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He further holds a Diploma in Physics of the University of Kiel, Germany. During his studies he acquired extensive knowledge on surface physics. Dr. Lorenz earned his PhD at a Max Planck Institute in Berlin. His thesis focused on catalytic processes on metal surfaces at the interface between physics and chemistry. A subsequent appointment as a research assistant took Dr. Lorenz back to England,to the University of Oxford, where he studied the interaction between polymers and semiconductor surfaces.
In 2003 he joined the firm of Gulde & Partner, specialising in national and international patent, software and IT law. A placement lasting several months at a New York patent attorneys' office allowed him to extend his expertise in US patent law. Dr. Lorenz qualified as a German patent attorney in 2006 and as a European patent attorney in 2009.
Dr. Lorenz is a member of different national and international organizations like the United Nations Association of Germany DGVN. Since 2008 he is a board member of the Berlin branch of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property GRUR. Since 2015 Dr. Lorenz is also a Board member of the German AIPPI section.

Vera Bosio graduated in physics at the University of Genoa with a specialisation in experimental elementary particle physics.
After finishing her studies, she worked for two years as an IT-consultant in Italy. Later she earned a doctorate at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam.
Her research has focused on properties of polymer coated surfaces in the field of condensed matter physics.

Falk Lehmann studied physics at the Technical University Dresden and the University of Auckland. He graduated in 2010 at the Max-Planck-Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden as a physicist. During his training as a physicist he was working as a scientific assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) and for a manufacturer of photolithographic masks for semiconductor production.
Since 2011, Mr. Lehmann is a professional in the field of intellectual property rights. He is registered as a German Patent Attorney since 2014 and as a European Patent Attorney since 2015. In 2019 he further obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in the field of European Intellectual Property.
He joined the firm Gulde & Partner in 2015 and is now involved with patent prosecution in the fields of telecommunication, computer-implemented inventions and electrical engineering, including opposition and appeal proceedings before the competent offices. As patent attorney he is further involved in patent litigation cases regarding telecommunication and video coding.

Henry Schneider is a Certified Engineer. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Leipzig with specialisation in the manufacture of electromechanical machinery. From 1984 to 1987 he successfully completed a supplementary course on IP Law at the Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2007 he completed an L.L.M on European IP Law.
Between 1981 and 1989 he worked as a patent engineer in various metallurgical and woodworking companies.
In 1990 Henry Schneider qualified as a German patent attorney and in 1991 as a European patent attorney. He practiced as a patent attorney in his own patent attorneys' firm in Berlin between 1990 and 2001.
In 2002 he joined Klaus W. Gulde, Jürgen D. Hengelhaupt and Dr. Marlene K. Ziebig to form the previous law firm of Gulde Hengelhaupt Ziebig & Schneider, which is now Gulde & Partner. Since then Henry Schneider was a senior partner until the end of 2021.

Jörg K. Grzam took a degree in law at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena with a specialisation in Intellectual Property Law. Prior to his studies he trained as a mechanical engineer at NILES-SIMMONS, a company producing machine tools. His practical work experience enabled Jörg K. Grzam to easily grasp complex technical matters and to link them to relevant legal issues, as is required in cases of trademark, design and patent infringement proceedings, for instance.

Kyungsoon Nam graduated from Seoul National University, Korea as a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. She further holds a Diploma in German Language and Literature of the same university and took a further education in Mechanical Engineering at Yonsei University, Korea. Her study in Mechanical Engineering is focused on MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System). She earned an LL.M. at the Humboldt University in Berlin in the field of Intellectual Property Law.

Manuel Giesen studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe with a focus on automotive engineering, combustion engines and aerodynamics. He graduated in 2002 with a thesis on recycling and remanufacturing of brake components.
Subsequently, Manuel Giesen was working in the automotive business for more than a decade, primary as an engineer and later on as a project manager and patent professional, spending six years in the patent department of a global leading automotive supplier. His focus was on the development of fuel injection systems and exhaust gas treatment.
Manuel Giesen joined Gulde & Partner in 2015.

Marco Scheffler took a degree in Law at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a specialisation in Intellectual Property. Mark Gobald studied Mechanical Engineering at the Graz University of Technology in Austria. In cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology he wrote his diploma thesis in the fields of vehicle safety and traffic accident research.
He has gained practical experience in the fields of automotive and motorbike engineering, in particular in the fields of high-speed combustion engines and motorsport technologies while working in Austria and Slovenia.

Nicolas Haße studied industrial engineering and management in the field of electrical engineering at the Berlin Institute of Technology. In the technical branch of his studies he focused on telecommunications engineering, microelectronics and semiconductor technology, while he focused on Strategic Management and Finance in the management branch. In year 2011, he finished his studies with a diploma.
Nicolas dedicated his seminar paper to a comparison of different generations of compact MOSFET models designed to simulate integrated circuits. Within the scope of his diploma thesis, he performed a detailed analysis and optimization of the research experiments and procedures at the chair of high-frequency and semiconductor system technology of the Berlin Institute of Technology.

Niklas Mellmann studied Information Technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Engineering at the TU Dortmund. His focus lies in the technical field of communications engineering, digital image and signal processing as well as (tele)communications technology.
He completed his studies in 2009 as a graduate engineer. His student research project at the chair of Communication Technology (working group: information processing circuits) was dedicated to the estimation of the effort for predictive motion estimation methods using the CELL platform. Within the scope of his diploma thesis, he conducted a performance evaluation of a client-based vertical handover method at the Communication Networks Institute at the TU Dortmund.
Mr. Mellmann has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2014. Before working as a patent attorney, he worked several years for Accenture, a management consulting, technology and outsourcing service provider, as a consultant in the field of Communications, Media & Technology. During this time, he advised particularly global telecommunications clients on technology issues.
Since 2017 Mr. Mellmann works for Gulde & Partner.

Rainer Rückert studied power plant engineering at the Technical University Zittau and graduated in 1989. From 1990 to 2000 he worked as a project manager at the Berlin firm Mannesmann Seiffert GmbH, a subsidiary of the German plant construction firm Mannesmann AG.
In 2000 he started his traineeship as a patent attorney at the patent law firm of Schneider in Berlin. He qualified as German patent attorney in December 2004 and has worked for Gulde & Partner since.
Thanks to his technical qualifications, his practical experience in plant construction and his competence in patent law, Rainer Rückert has special competences in identifying and implementing technical and patent-related assignments.
