Michael Corrigan

Job Titles:
  • Executive Director
Michael Corrigan was born in San Diego, California but grew up splitting time between schooling in California during the fall and winter months, and working "vacations" in Central Utah on his grandparent's poultry and vegetable farm through late spring and summer. From age 8 until he graduated from high school, summers on the farm taught Michael the value of hard work, the "Law of the Harvest," sound money management and the fundamentals of business. After graduation from Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, California, he attended Southwestern Junior College before accepting a call to serve a two-year proselyting mission to the South Pacific for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After his honorable release from missionary service, Michael was accepted at Brigham Young University - Provo, Utah, majoring in environmental ecology. Concurrently, to earn his way through school, he found a part-time job with Nature's Way Products, Inc., a botanical supplement manufacturer selling into the North American Health and Natural Products Industry. Due to his keen interest in health and healing, plus skills in sales and sales training, Michael took a position in the sales department, advanced to regional sales manager and finally to corporate vice president of education services. In 2001, due to a growing interest in money and personal finance, he decided to change his career path and became a licensed registered representative and licensed insurance agent. Realizing that the "Baby Boomer" phenomenon would dramatically change the landscape of investing and retirement planning, Michael became an investment advisor representative in 2006 in order to take full advantage of the power and risk control of "active asset management." Since then, he has specialized in building close client relationships to create and implement full and effective financial plans to negotiate the sharp curves, and the ups and the downs of life's often bumpy road. Michael is active in church and community, a staunch supporter of Brigham Young University and an avid fisherman. He has coached youth baseball, softball and basketball and has served two terms as vice chairman of his local political precinct. He and his wife Gayle, long time residence of Orem, Utah, have been blessed with six wonderful children.

Richard Wayne Harris

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
Richard Wayne Harris was born in California under the shadow of the Matterhorn rollercoaster at Disneyland. He moved to Utah when he was 8 years old where his father pursued real estate at Century 21. He loved sports and became interested in physical therapy after dealing with knee problems as a teenager. Rich graduated from Utah Valley University with an associate's degree in natural science in 1991; he was then accepted into the University of Oklahoma's physical therapy program and graduated with distinction in 1994. He returned to Utah to practice physical therapy in outpatient neuro rehabilitation until 2006. At that time, he switched from working in a clinic to working in home health for another four years. While Rich loves to help people and found enormous satisfaction in helping people to walk, stand up from chairs and to become more independent with their activities of daily living after serious illness or accidents, the increasingly tight medical oversight during these years put a strain on his ability to treat patients the way he felt they deserved or required. As a result, he switched his focus to the financial world as a means of helping people as much financially as an advisor as he once did physically as a physical therapist. The difference is that now, his clients do not need to be diagnosed with a stroke or a traumatic head injury to see him and receive his care and expertise. They only require a desire to improve their financial well-being by planning for their future retirement. then Rich can be there to treat their financial needs.

Rob Brown

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
Rob Brown was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. Rob learned the value of hard work and service to others from his father, who worked as a teacher during the day and the Pocatello City Council at night. Rob worked a paper route when he was eight and started working construction jobs when he was 12. Seeing a home rise from the dirt is still one his favorite things to watch. After graduating from Highland High School in Pocatello, he left on a church service mission to Tallahassee, Florida. It was during this time serving others that his eyes were opened to the things that matter most in life to him: 1) family and 2) we should never fear that we are compromising when we make the choice to love. After returning home from Florida, he attended Idaho State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources training and development; Utah State, where he graduated with a Master's degree in education; and Western Governor's University, where he graduated with a Master's degree in business administration. Rob has worked in construction, taught seminary full time for 10 years, worked as a principal of an elementary school in charter school development, and started his career in the financial services industry in 2018. Stephen K. Roberts

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
Stephen K. Roberts was born and grew up in the cradle of the Uinta Mountains in beautiful Tabiona. And as the saying goes, "you can take the boy out of the mountains but you can't take the mountains out of the boy". He still has a deep connection with rural Utah and loves to get out to their place in Tabiona Valley or wander anywhere he can in his side-by-side ATV at any opportunity. Stephen graduated from Tabiona High School in 1978 as valedictorian and enrolled in Brigham Young University that same year. After one year at BYU, he spent the next two years in Mexico on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he grew to love the Mexican people and the Spanish language. Upon returning, he again attended BYU. In February of 1983 he married Leisa, his wife of 33 years. Upon graduating with Bachelor of Science in design engineering in 1985, he and his family spent a few years in San Jose, California while Stephen worked for a large civil defense company helping them automate their design processes. Although he loved what he was doing, the pull of the Utah Rocky Mountains was just too much to ignore so he moved back to Utah in 1986. (As mentioned before, you just can't take the mountains out of the boy!) Since returning to Utah, Stephen has worked in the technology sector, developing software for a number of different industries, primarily government entities. In 1999 he started his own software consulting business. Stephen has always had an interest in helping families and individuals to better understand budgeting and finances. Although he was taught and understood the benefits and advantages of budgeting from a young age, he had to rely on financial advisors to educate him on how to invest the savings that a budget allows for. The more he learned about the typical approach to investing from financial advisors, the more he felt that there should be a better way. There had to be a better approach to investing than just buying mutual funds and hoping for the best. In 2013, Stephen became friends with Dale Black and began to talk with him about what he did at Global View Capital Advisors. This was a turning point in his financial education and career. He had finally found a financial advisor who also believed there was a better way. In fact, the more he learned the more he knew that he needed to become affiliated with Global View Capital Advisors so that he could continue to learn and, more importantly, teach others about tactical and actively managed investment strategies. And, as they say, the rest is history. Stephen got the necessary licenses and has been working with Global View Capital Advisors since 2014. They truly do have a better way! Stephen and Leisa are the parents of four children and now have nine grandchildren. They split their time between their home in Highland, Utah, and their cabin in Tabiona Valley. They love exploring the off-roads of Utah and the surrounding states in their Polaris RZR, and spoiling their grandchildren every chance they get.
