HPF

HPF co-established the first health promotion competencies in 2000, which was reviewed in 2012. Based on these competencies, HPF is now establishing an accreditation framework under the global framework of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE). This framework gives formal recognition to the profession, its practitioners, and health promotion educational programmes, providing greater credibility for the workforce, while ensuring the efficacy of the practice and the wellbeing of communities... HPF is the umbrella organisation for all those who identify health promotion as part of their work. Founded on the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Ottawa Charter, our non-profit organisation provides information, training, and resources to build the workforce and health promotion leadership.
