I became an "accidental" instructional designer about 6 years ago when I started working in online education as a technology support specialist at a community college here in North Carolina. What began as LMS administration and user support soon evolved into writing instructional guides, creating multimedia instructional support tools, and designing online training modules for faculty, staff, and students.
