Art Smith

Mr. Smith has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in Canadian corporations. He has extensive industry experience in utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas, financial services, and technology, working for TC Energy, Northern Telecom, Cortex Business Solution, and others. In his last two executive roles, he raised over 70 million dollars in capital to fund the growth of technology start-ups and financial services organizations. Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has been recognized for delivering business results by leading people, sales, delivery, technology, capital market, and operations.

Bart Bates

Job Titles:

Mr. Bates career has been focused on developing and fostering strong sales and delivery relationships. At Legacy, Bart will be leveraging these skills to build strong and lasting relationships with Exempt Market Dealers and their Representatives.

Cara Carson

Ms. Carson career has focused on building strong, operationally excellent business focused on client success. At Legacy, Cara will be handling investor enquires, communication and account management.

Darryl Kenna - CEO

Darryl Kenna is the CEO and a Director of Epiphany Group. He formulates and drives the vision and mission of the organization while overseeing the executive team. Darryl has served in the financial world for over 25 years. He was a founding partner in Laurie, Kenna, and Associates. At this award-winning financial planning firm, he received designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and an Elderly Planning Counsellor (EPC). In 2015, Darryl branched out to a new venture. He became a founding partner in The Epiphany Group and Trophy Fish-two companies that would eventually merge with a few other successful businesses to create today's Epiphany Group.

Devon Wannop

Devon began his career as a Staff Accountant at KPMG in Lethbridge. During his tenure there, he earned his Chartered Accountant designation. After four years at KPMG, Devon led a financial team as the CFO for some small municipalities, managing budgets of tens of millions of dollars on an annual basis. Moving on from this role after four years, Devon further expanded his finance background by working as an underwriter for an extensive portfolio at a major bank in Alberta. This portfolio had more than $250 million in loans and enabled Devon to learn from some of the top CFOs in the country. Devon joined Epiphany Group in 2019, beginning in the position of Financial Controller. Now in the role of Chief Financial Officer, Devon utilizes his expertise and in-depth understanding of the broad range of financial reporting, policies, strategies, and processes required to support the achievement of Epiphany Group's mission and strategic objectives.

Matt Ewonus

Matt Ewonus is the Chief Executive Officer of Latitude Financial Services. Matt is a founding partner, and under his leadership, Latitude has grown to the 2nd largest firm in Canada by Assets Under Administration under the Sun Life Career Salesforce distribution channel. Matt has been a Financial Advisor for over 20 years. He co-founded Latitude Financial in 2014, and since then, the firm has received numerous awards based on new sales production and overall business growth. Latitude Financial continues to be a leader in systems and processes within the industry. Matt and his team provide support and insights to their dealership and other financial planning businesses.

Peter Jarman

Peter Jarman is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Axcess Capital Advisors. He oversees business development, investment selection, and advisor services and sits on the Investment Review Committee. Peter has worked in the exempt market for over 17 years, with experience as an investment issuer, managing partner, and team leader in sales and operations. Before working with the Axcess Capital Advisors, Peter provided consulting services to product issuers, building new distribution channels for exempt market investment offerings with EMDs and IIROC firms.

Riley Dykslag

Riley got his start in real estate investing after building up a portfolio of rental properties in Lethbridge, Alberta. After dealing with the issues of personally managing a real estate portfolio, Riley explored a more purpose driven type of real estate investing. Through that vision, Black Elm LP has now grown into a completely investor hands-off approach to real estate that has resulted in a 0% vacancy rate within Black Elm LP. Recently, Riley was promoted to the new position of Director of Real Estate where he will be focusing on executing and overseeing all operational components of all the real estate limited partnerships of Epiphany Group. Before entering the real estate investment market, Riley served as a police officer in some of the highest investigative units within the province of Alberta.

Roger Simpson - Chief Investment Officer

Roger began working in the family business, Simpson Plumbing, as a mechanical contractor. After graduating from Medicine Hat College in 1993, Roger set out to purchase the family business from his father. Under Roger's leadership, the company grew from being a two-person operation to include 20 staff. During his years as a mechanical contractor, Roger developed a passion for real estate and development. He spent 15 years balancing running the operations of a successful business and building a real estate portfolio focusing on the acquisition of both commercial and industrial properties. Along with Darryl Kenna, Roger was one of the founding members of Trophy Fish-a venture that combined business systems and processes with real estate assets. When Trophy Fish merged with Orange Peel Group and The Epiphany Group, Roger became the Chief Real Estate Officer for the newly created Epiphany Group. In this role, Roger oversees the vision of both existing and future limited partnerships and ensures that current assets are balanced for future generational growth. Roger is a proven leader who is valued for his ability to see broad business opportunities, develop innovative strategies, and translate those into initiatives implemented efficiently within Epiphany Group's mandate.
