Maisha Mitchell-Beasley is the founder and Managing Principal. Maisha decided to name the firm to honor her past and present by incorporating the initial of the last names of those she loves, honors and cherish . Maisha has over 23 years of experience as an auditing, accounting, and financial management professional. She has worked with the likes of the U.S. Department of Defense, Dept of Justice, Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Health and Human Services, CNCS, as well as VA state agencies and local municipalities and formed long-standing partnerships with many private sector clients. Maisha served in various Mid-Level Executive positions including being the Director of Internal Audit , a Director of Finance and an Internal Controls Manager. Maisha worked several years in public accounting with Big 4 Ernst & Young (EY) as an Audit Manager. It was the tenure at Deutsche Bank NA in their Asset Management Division as an Internal Auditor where she started her career as an auditor. Prior to that she worked for several years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a Supervising Team Lead in the Statistics Function. Maisha is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM). Maisha has a BS in Economics and Finance, and a Masters in Accounting. More importantly, she is very passionate about auditing, internal controls, and risk management and is excited for the opportunity to support all three branches of government.
